Zdeněk Troška
Zdeněk Troška (born 18 May 1953) is a Czech film director and screenwriter. He mainly directs comedies and fairy-tale films. Personal life Troška is deeply connected with the South Bohemian Region. He was born in the hospital in Strakonice, but he grew up in Hoštice (Strakonice District), Hoštice, where he still lives and where he filmed several of his films (mostly notably the ''Slunce, seno...'' trilogy). He studied directing at Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and also at Lycée Carnot in Dijon, France. Troška came out as gay. Work Troška ranks among contradictory and sometimes controversial directors. Although he is educated and receives offers to direct classical operas and film dramas like ''Andělská tvář'' (2002), he is most famous for cheap comedies and fairy tales intended for an undemanding audience. Pavel Vondruška (15 November 1925 – 5 February 2011) was a Czech actor and musician, and from 1969 was a member of the ''Jára Cimrman Theatre'' (named after Jára Cimrman, the spurious character) in Žižkov, Prague. His main profession was as a conductor. He also appeared in several films. Biography He was born in České Budějovice, and mastered a number of foreign languages (French, Italian, Spanish, English, Russian, German, Croatian, Latin and Esperanto). He studied at the conservatorium and consequently went on to study conducting, opera direction and dramaturgy at the music academy AMU, where he was taught by Karel Ančerl and Václav Talich. While studying, he was accompanist at the National Theatre Prague and conductor of the Prague Opera. Jiřina Jirásková (17 February 1931 – 7 January 2013) was a Czechoslovakia, Czech actress. She was born and died in Prague, Czech Republic. Biography She studied at the Prague Conservatory and later at Faculty of Theatre (Prague), DAMU. After graduating, she spent one year in a regional theatre in Hradec Králové. In 1951, aged 20, she moved to the Prague's Vinohrady Theatre, where she spent her entire career. From 30 May 1990 to 30 June 2000, she was also the director of the theatre. Jirásková began to appear in TV in the 1950s; she played in the first Czechoslovak TV series ''Rodina Bláhova'' (Bláha Family).
