Slovensko Hľadá SuperStar
''SuperStar'' (previously known as ''Česko Slovenská SuperStar'') is a joint Czech- Slovak version ''Česko hledá SuperStar'' and '' SuperStar Search Slovakia'' based on the ''Idol'' franchise. Three seasons of this competition were broadcast separately in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but in 2009, they were merged to reduce costs and increase attractiveness for viewers. The first season premiered in September 2009 with castings held in Prague, Brno, Bratislava, and Košice. It aired on two channels, TV Nova (Czech Republic) and Markíza (Slovakia), which have also been the broadcast stations for the individual seasons. Determining to legitimate a fair chance for each country's contestants to reach the final, twelve contestants split into genders and nationalities in the semifinals, assuming a 50% share for each country in the top 12. ''Deník'' is a regional daily newspaper in the Czech Republic. History Originally owned by German publishing company Verlagsgruppe Passau (VGP), ''Deník'' has been owned by Penta Investments since 2015. VGP has a monopoly on the Czech regional press. In September 2006, regional newspapers across the Czech Republic were rebranded to ''Deník'' with a regional adjective appended, including ''Pražský deník'' (). Katarína Knechtová
Katarína Knechtová (born March 14, 1981) is a Slovakia, Slovak singer-songwriter and guitarist, originally known for her work with the band Peha. Ben Cristovao
Ben da Silva Cristóvão (born 8 June 1987), known professionally as Ben Cristovao or Benny Cristo, is a Czech singer. He was nominated to represent the Czech Republic in the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam, after winning the national round with the song " Kemama". Monkey Business is a Czech funk and pop band formed in 1999 in Prague. It is one of the musical projects of multi-instrumentalist and producer Roman Holý, the others being J.A.R. and Sexy Dancers. TV JOJ is a Slovak private TV channel owned by J&T Enterprises and launched in March 2002. The channel screens serial dramas and TV shows. The name JOJ is derived from a Slovak interjection, comparable to ''oh là là''. History It was launched on 2 March 2002 as a successor of the network TV Global, which had been broadcasting since March 2000.
