Jitka Nováčková (born 28 April 1992) is a Czech model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Czech Miss 2011 and subsequently represented the Czech Republic in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant. Early life Born in České Budějovice, Nováčková went to school at Gymnázium Jírovcova and started modeling at age 9. She was a semifinalist in Elite Model Look Czech Republic 2009 and the face of sports apparel manufacturer ''Nordlbanc'' and its 2009 spring/summer campaign for the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Miss Universe Czechia () is a national beauty pageant in the Czech Republic. The pageant was founded in 2005, where the winners were sent to Miss Universe. History The Czech Miss was established in 2005 and is organized and produced by Michaela Maláčová, Miss Czechoslovakia, Miss Czechoslovakia 1991 and director of Miss Marketing s.r.o. From 2005 to 2009, the pageant selected a winner to represent the country in Miss Universe, and a first runner up participated in the Miss Earth pageant. In 2010, Czech Miss and its rival pageant, Miss České republiky, Miss Czech Republic () merged under the direction of Maláčová, and two winners were selected. ''Deník'' is a regional daily newspaper in the Czech Republic. History Originally owned by German publishing company Verlagsgruppe Passau (VGP), ''Deník'' has been owned by Penta Investments since 2015. VGP has a monopoly on the Czech regional press.
