Hajime Kanzaka
is a Japanese novelist and manga story writer from Asago, Hyōgo Prefecture. Kanzaka is best known for writing the '' Slayers'' novels that were adapted into the hit anime series, OVA and manga spin-offs. Career After graduating Kobe Art Technical College, Kanzaka worked as a salaryman until, on a whim, he submitted ''Slayers'' to the 1st Fantasia Awards (1989). It was nominated as the runner-up, and due to his home not having a telephone, he received the news via the mail. The same year, ''Slayers'' began serialization under the Dragon Magazine, making his official debut. During the early days of the light novel industry, most writers came from other non-writing professions, but nowadays most light novelists debut due to winning awards, a trend seemingly started by Kanzaka. Later, he would be a judge for the Fantasia Awards. She is also often known as Naga the White Serpent, which is a more literal translation from Japanese ( 白蛇JP, "white snake"), and an early English version by A.D. Vision had her name transliterated as "Nahga". The name she is best known by is in reality an alias of Princess Gracia Ul Naga Saillune (Japanese: グレイシアウルナーガセイルーン ''Gureishia Uru Nāga Seirūn''). The character has great magical powers and an unstable but resilient personality. She is particularly obsessed with a fellow wandering sorceress and the central character of ''Slayers'', Lina Inverse. While occasionally referred to as Lina's sidekick and traveling partner, Naga's arrogance and self-imagined rivalry made her just as likely to antagonize Lina during the course of any story. Naga is a few years ...

Double Feature
The double feature is a Film, motion picture industry phenomenon in which theaters would exhibit two films for the price of one, supplanting an earlier format in which the presentation of one feature film would be followed by various short subject reels. Operatic use Opera houses staged two operas together for the sake of providing long performance for the audience. This was related to one-act or two-act short operas that were otherwise commercially hard to stage alone. A prominent example is the double-bill of ''Pagliacci'' with ''Cavalleria rusticana'' first staged on 22 December 1893 by the Metropolitan Opera, Met (NYC). The two operas have since been frequently performed as a double bill, a pairing referred to in the operatic world colloquially as "Cav and Pag". Origin and format The double feature originated in the later 1930s. Though the dominant presentation model, consisting of all or some of the following, continued well into the 1940s: * One or more live acts * An anima ...
