Skënder Zogu
Skënder Zogu (born 3 June 1933) is an Albanian author and member of the House of Zogu. He is the son of Prince Xhelal Zogu, half-brother of King Zog. Biography Skënder (Alexander) Zogu was born to Prince Xhelal Zogu (half-brother of Zog I of Albania) and Faika Minxhalliu on 3 June 1933 in Davos, Switzerland. He studied at the Huddersfield College of Technology, which later became the University of Huddersfield. During his time at university, he was the vice president and then president of the Student Union. After graduating with a degree in Textile and Color Chemistry, Zogu worker for a period of time for Francolor. He went on to work as a textile sales manager at KVK Danemark. On 9 April 1961, Zogu was present when Zog I of Albania died while in exile at Hôpital Foch in Suresnes, Hauts-de-Seine, France. Zogu organized the funeral, which was held two days later. Xhelal Pasha Zogolli
Xhelal Pasha Zogolli was the hereditary governor of Mati, father of Xhemal Pasha Zogu and grandfather of King Zog I. Life Xhelal Pasha Zogolli was born in the Mati region of modern-day Albania (it was a part of the Ottoman Empire when he was born). His father was Mahmud Pasha Zogolli, and his family was a Muslim Albanian beylik family of landowners, with feudal authority over the region of Mati. Xhelal Pasha Zogolli was educated privately. He served in the Montenegrin War of 1852-53. Later, he visited Russia and, inspired by Russians, attempted a local rebellion against Ottoman rule after his return which was unsuccessful because of the low participation. He married Ruqiya Khanum Ruhijé Hanem, from the wealthy Alltuni family of Kavajë. He had ownership of the Burgajet Castle, near Burrel in northern Albania, and his son Xhemal Pasha Zogu was born there in 1860. Xhemal Pasha Zogu
Xhemal Pasha Zogu (; 1860–1911), also known as Jamal Pasha or Jamal Pasha Zogolli, was the Hereditary Governor of Mati, Albania (at the time part of the Ottoman Empire). He was the father of King Zog I of Albania. Born at Burgajet Castle, Mati (or Constantinople), in 1860, he was the third son of Xhelal Pasha Zogolli and Ruhije Alltuni, from the wealthy Alltuni family of Kavajë. He was educated privately and became Hereditary Governor of Mati upon the death of his older brother, Riza. During the Great Eastern Crisis, a meeting held in Debar (1880) by Albanian notables deciding on the course of action regarding the Ottoman cessation of Ulcinj to Montenegro, Xhemal was in the pro-government group advocating no action be taken and was against a declaration of Albanian autonomy in the Balkans. The Order of Besa (), also known as the Order of Fidelity, was established by Zog I of Albania, Ahmet Zogu (later King Zog I) when he was President of Albania. Legality Movement Party
The Legality Movement Party (, abbr. PLL) is a monarchist political party in Albania led by Shpetim Axhami. It supports the restoration of the Albanian monarchy under the House of Zogu, with the house's current head Prince Leka crowned as king. The party has also been characterised as conservative and nationalist.
