SkyOne
Sky One was a British pay television channel operated and owned by Sky Group (a division of Comcast). Originally launched on 26 April 1982 as Sky Television (1984–1990), Satellite Television, it was Europe's first satellite television, satellite and non-terrestrial television, terrestrial channel. From 31 July 1989, it became Sky One and broadcast exclusively in the United Kingdom and Ireland as Sky UK, British Sky Broadcasting's flagship channel. It existed until 1 September 2021, when it closed down as part of a restructuring with its Electronic program guide, EPG position taken by Sky Showcase and much of its content library moved to Sky Max. Sky Max
Sky Max is a British pay television channel and on-demand service which launched on 1 September 2021. It is owned and operated by Sky Group, a subsidiary of Comcast. The service broadcasts a variety of drama, comedy-drama, and unscripted series. Sky Max was announced on 28 July 2021, along with Sky Showcase, to replace Sky One; the former flagship which had been on air for nearly 40 years. Sky Max broadcasts the entertainment and drama output previously shown on Sky One, while most of Sky One's comedy output was transferred to Sky Comedy. Sky Showcase
Sky Showcase is a British pay television channel which launched on 1 September 2021. It is owned and operated by Sky Group, a division of American media company Comcast. Sky Showcase was announced on 28 July 2021, along with Sky Max, as a replacement for flagship brand Sky One; with its programming transferred to Max and Sky Comedy. Both Showcase and Max would launch on the same day. The channel broadcasts a selection of programmes and simulcasts from across Sky UK's portfolio of channels, including highlights from Sky Cinema, Sky News, and Sky Sports. Starting in January 2024, Sky Showcase began showing select programming from Sky Atlantic. Sky Group Limited is a British media and telecommunications conglomerate owned by Comcast and headquartered in London.
