Skorpion-3
The Honker Skorpion-3 is a Polish multi-purpose off-road vehicle. It is a modified version of the Tarpan Honker, Honker developed as a result of the experience of soldiers from the first rotations of the Polish involvement in the Iraq War, Polish contingent in Iraq. It was developed by the 4th District Technical Workshops in Żurawica in 2003. It is set to be replaced by the LPU Wirus 4. Development In 2003, along with the mission in Iraq, it turned out that there was a great need to introduce a light armored vehicle adapted to conduct patrol operations. The only armored vehicles that the contingent had at its disposal were modernized BRDM-2 scout cars. Unarmored vehicles such as the Tarpan Honker, Honker and the Star 944 were used to transport soldiers. In order to provide at least temporary protection against shrapnel, soldiers improvised and armored themselves with various materials including Sandbag, sandbags, sheet metal, and elements from wreckage. Tarpan Honker
Honker (initially known as Tarpan Honker, also Daewoo Honker, Andoria Honker, Intrall Honker 4x4, and DZT Tymińscy Honker) is a Polish multi-purpose off-road vehicle. Events such as the annual Dakar Rally, which spans multiple countries and challenges participants with diverse and extreme terrains, have brought significant attention to these vehicles. History One of the earliest modified off-road vehicles was the Kégresse track, a system for modifying cars developed by Adolphe Kégresse while working for Tsar Nicholas II of Russia between 1906 and 1916. The system employed a caterpillar track with a flexible belt instead of interlocking metal segments, which could be fitted to a conventional vehicle, turning it into a half-trac ...

Military Vehicles Of Poland
A military, also known collectively as armed forces, is a heavily armed, highly organized force primarily intended for warfare. Militaries are typically authorized and maintained by a sovereign state, with their members identifiable by a distinct military uniform. They may consist of one or more military branches such as an army, navy, air force, space force, marines, or coast guard. The main task of a military is usually defined as defence of their state and its interests against external armed threats. In broad usage, the terms "armed forces" and "military" are often synonymous, although in technical usage a distinction is sometimes made in which a country's armed forces may include other paramilitary forces such as armed police. Beyond warfare, the military may be employed in additional sanctioned and non-sanctioned functions within the state, including internal security threats, crowd control, promotion of political agendas, emergency services and reconstruction, prot ...
