SITO (artist Collective)
SITO is an online artist collective which began in January 1993, making it one of the oldest Internet-based art organizations. It was started by Ed Stastny and has been maintained by Stastny and a group of volunteers and supporters. __NOTOC__ From its beginning, SITO had a mission different from many established Internet art resources, in that rather than be an electronic journal of discussions or writings about art, it chose to be a repository for artwork in order to facilitate sharing and exposure. As this was the Internet pre-World Wide Web, SITO accomplished this by using anonymous FTP sites. Another important part of the SITO mission was to be open to all levels of artists, and at no cost. Luis Castro Rodríguez (born 21 May 1980), commonly known as Sito, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Arnedo as a defender ( right or left back). Football career After starting professionally with CD Lugo and CD Calahorra, Sito spent three seasons with another Galician club, Racing Club de Ferrol – two in Segunda División and another in Segunda División B. He signed with Ipswich Town on 5 August 2005 on a free transfer, after a trial. After two years in and out of the first team, Sito enjoyed a good spell in the 2007–08 campaign, following injuries and loss of form to those ahead of him in the pecking order. Laura Soares Sito Silveira, or simply Laura Sito (born 29 November 1991) is a Brazilian politician affiliated with the Workers’ Party (PT), being both the first Black woman and the youngest state deputy of the Rio Grande do Sul Legislative Assembly. Biography Sito is a journalist who graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). She began her political activism at age 13 with the Black rights movement through her sister Luanda Rejane Soares Sito, who participated in the movement for the implementation of racial quotas at UFRGS. Luca Sito (born 12 May 2003) is an Italian sprinter. He won silver medals as part of the Italian mixed relay team and in the men's relay at the 2024 European Athletics Championships in Rome. Early life He was born and raised in San Felice in Segrate in the Metropolitan City of Milan, although he has family from Naples. Francisco Javier Mar Hernández (December 4, 1926 – May 4, 2000) was a Mexican professional wrestler and Promoter (entertainment), promoter, known by the ring name "El Orgullo de Oriente" ("The pride of the Orient") Sugi Sito. He was born in Guanajuato to a Mexican mother and Han Chinese, Chinese father. Tom Sito (born May 19, 1956) is an American animator, animation historian and teacher. He is currently a professor at USC's School of Cinematic Arts in the Animation Division. In 1998, Sito was included by ''Animation Magazine'' in their list of the One Hundred Most Important People in Animation.''Animation Magazine'', November 1998. Alfonso Pons Ezquerra (Barcelona 9 November 1959), better known as Sito Pons, is a Spanish former professional Grand Prix motorcycle racer. He studied Architecture at the university of Barcelona, He competed in the FIM motorcycle Grand Prix world championships from 1981 to 1991. Pons is notable for winning two consecutive 250cc road racing world championships in 1988 and 1989. Alfonso Alonso Blasco (born December 4, 1975), commonly known as Sito Alonso, is a Spanish basketball coach who is the head coach for UCAM Murcia of the Spanish Liga ACB.
