Siri Schnéevoigt
Siri Alina Schnéevoigt (1870–1946) was a photographer and actress, born in Finland, but active in Denmark. She was the mother to director George Schnéevoigt, and sister to conductor Georg Schnéevoigt. In early 1900's Schnéevoigt and her husband Hermann Friedrich Fischer divorced, which later resulted in her changing her last name from Fischer-Schnéevoigt back to her maden name Schnéevoigt. As a photographer she was known as Siri Fischer-Schnéevoigt. She moved from Copenhagen to Berlin with her sons and started her own studio before 1907. She is known of her portraits of famous dancers and musicians, but also of ordinary studio portraits and art photographs. She was active among the Pictorial photographers. George Schnéevoigt (born Fritz Ernst Georg Fischer; 23 December 1893 – 6 February 1961) was a Denmark, Danish film director, cinematographer, and actor of the 1910s to early 1940s. Schnéevoigt was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 23 December 1893 to the Finland, Finnish-born photographer and actress Siri Schnéevoigt, and Hermann Friedrich Fischer. He was the father of photographer Alf Schnéevoigt. Early life When Schnéevoigt was 14 years old he traveled with his mother to Berlin as a result of his parents divorce, there he took his mothers last name. Georg Lennart Schnéevoigt (8 November 1872 – 28 November 1947) was a Finnish Conducting, conductor and cellist, born in Vyborg, Grand Duchy of Finland, which is now in Russia, to Ernst Schnéevoigt and Rosa Willandt. Career Schnéevoigt began his career as a cellist performing throughout Europe in the 1890s. He was principal cellist of the Helsinki Philharmonic from 1896 to 1902.
