Simón Moreno Barroso (born 2 July 1997) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a forward for Serbian SuperLiga club FK Jedinstvo Ub. Club career Villarreal Born in Cartaya, Province of Huelva, Andalusia, Moreno joined Villarreal CF's academy at the age of 9. He made his senior debut with the C team on 22 August 2015, coming on as a second-half substitute for Mario González in a 1–1 Tercera División away draw against UD Alzira. Moreno scored his first senior goal on 22 November 2015, opening the 2–2 home draw with FC Jove Español San Vicente. He was promoted to the reserves in the Segunda División B in July 2017, and was their top scorer in the 2018–19 season with 13 goals. On 27 June 2019, Moreno was loaned to UD Almería for one year. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. The 2019–20 Segunda División B season was the 43rd since its establishment. Eighty teams participated, distributed in four groups of twenty clubs each. On 11 March 2020, the season of Segunda División B was suspended due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. On 6 May 2020, the Royal Spanish Football Federation announced the premature end of the league, revoking all relegations and planning an eventual promotion playoff to be played if possible. Also, the expansion of the league to five groups of 20 teams each for the 2020–21 season (due to promotion from the curtailed Tercera División groups being applied) was approved. Segunda División B (English: second division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
