Arnoldo Gabaldón
Arnoldo Gabaldón Carrillo (1 March 1909 in Trujillo, Trujillo, Trujillo, Trujillo State – 1 September 1990 in Caracas) was a physician, researcher and Venezuelan politician. He is recognized for his activism against malaria. His campaign against the disease reduced the number of cases in Venezuela to almost zero during the 1950s, giving place to more exploitable territory and population growth. Beatriz Sarlo (29 March 1942 – 17 December 2024) was an Argentine literary and cultural critic. She was a founding editor of the cultural journal '' Punto de Vista'' ("Point of View"). She became an Order of Cultural Merit laureate in 2009. Biography Beatriz Sarlo was born on 29 March 1942. Guillermo Alberto O'Donnell Ure (February 24, 1936 – November 29, 2011) was a prominent Argentine political scientist who specialized in comparative politics and Latin American politics. Noé Enrique Tandeter (1944-14 April 2004) was an Argentinian historian and author who studied colonial Latin America. He taught at various schools, including the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, University of Buenos Aires. Education and career Tandeter studied history at the University of Buenos Aires, graduating in 1969. He earnt his doctorate at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences in France. His thesis was on mining in the 18th and 19th centuries in Potosí, Bolivia. He left Argentina after the 1976 coup d'état, only returning in the 1980s.
