] Simone Ashley Manuel (born August 2, 1996) is an American professional Swimming (sport), swimmer specializing in Freestyle swimming, freestyle events. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2016 Rio Olympics, she won two gold and two silver medals: gold in the Swimming at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's 100 metre freestyle, 100-meter freestyle and the 4×100-meter medley, and silver in the 50-meter freestyle and the Swimming at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay, 4×100-meter freestyle relay. In winning the 100-meter freestyle, a tie with Penny Oleksiak of Canada, Manuel became the first Black American woman to win an individual Olympic gold in swimming and set an List of Olympic records in swimming#Women's records, Olympic record and an List of United States records in swimming, American record. Sugar Land (sometimes incorrectly spelled as Sugarland) is the largest city in Fort Bend County, Texas, United States, located in the southwestern part of the metropolitan area. Located about southwest of downtown Houston, Sugar Land is a populous suburban municipality centered around the junction of Texas State Highway 6 and Interstate 69/ U.S. Route 59. FINA World Aquatics Championships
The World Aquatics Championships, formerly the FINA World Championships, are the World Championships for six aquatic disciplines: swimming, diving, high diving, open water swimming, artistic swimming, and water polo. The championships are staged by World Aquatics, formerly known as ''FINA'' (''Fédération internationale de natation''), the international federation recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for administering international competitions in water sports.
