Simge Şebnem Aköz (born 23 April 1991) is a Turkish professional volleyball player for Eczacıbaşı VitrA and the Turkish national team. She participated at the 2017 Women's European Volleyball Championship, and 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. Samsun, Turkey
Samsun is a List of largest cities and towns in Turkey, city on the north coast of Turkey and a major Black Sea port. The urban area recorded a population of 738,692 in 2022. The city is the capital of Samsun Province which has a population of 1,382,376. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The 2019 FIVB Women's Club World Championship was the 13th edition of the tournament. For the second straight time it was held in Shaoxing, China from 3 to 8 December. Eight teams competed in the tournament, including four wild cards. The Turkish Women's Volleyball Super Cup (), is the Super Cup competition for professional women's volleyball in Turkey, organized by the Turkish Volleyball Federation since 2009. Turkish Women's Volleyball League
Sultanlar Ligi (''Sultans League''), known for sponsorship reasons as Vodafone Sultanlar Ligi, is the highest professional women's volleyball league in Turkey. It is run by the Turkish Volleyball Federation and began with the 1984–85 season. 14 clubs are currently participating in the league. It is often regarded as the best professional women's volleyball league in the world. Its clubs have obtained significant successes in Europe, European and other international competitions. Eczacıbaşı VitrA, Eczacıbaşı are the most successful club, having won 16 championships so far. It succeeded the former Turkish Women's Volleyball Championship (1956–1984).
