Simen Guttormsen
Simen Guttormsen (born 19 January 2001) is a Norwegian Olympic pole vaulter and graduate student at Duke University. He is the brother of Olympic pole vaulter Sondre Guttormsen. Career Simen Guttormsen first gained international experience in 2018 when he competed at the 2018 European Athletics U18 Championships in Győr, where he was eliminated in the qualification rounds with a clearance of 4.55 m. The following year, he reached the final at the 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships in Borås, but failed at his chosen starting height. That same year, he also began competing on the Princeton Tigers track and field team. In 2021, he failed to make a valid attempt in the qualifying round at the 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships in Tallinn. In 2021, Guttormsen won the Norwegian Athletics Championships pole vault, his first senior national title. He got his second national title in the Norwegian Athletics Championship in 2024. Norwegian Indoor Athletics Championships
The Norwegian Indoor Athletics Championships () is an annual indoor track and field competition organised by the Norwegian Athletics Association, which serves as the Norwegian indoor national championship for the sport. It was first held in 1964 as a non-championship event, before receiving official national sanctioning in 2004. 2022 World Athletics Championships
The 2022 World Athletics Championships was the eighteenth edition of the World Athletics Championships. It was held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, United States, from July 15–24, 2022, with the country hosting that competition for the first time. The competition was originally scheduled for August 6–15, 2021, but it was pushed back by one year due to the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics to 2021. After the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, World Athletics banned all Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials from participating at the championships. 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships
The 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships were the 13th edition of the biennial athletics competition between European athletes under the age of twenty-three. It was planned to be held in Bergen, Norway from 8 to 11 July., but this venue was cancelled for Covid pandemic reasons. Initially it was intended that the event would be postponed and held in another venue after the 2020 Olympic Games. Eventually the original dates were retained, and Tallinn, Estonia was chosen as the venue. This meant that Tallinn hosted two age-group championships in successive weeks: after the European Athletics U23 Championships, the Kadriorg Stadium also hosted between 15 and 18 July the European Athletics U20 Championships.
