Silk is a superhero appearing in American comic book, American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos, she first appeared in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' #1 (April 2014). Silk is the alias of Cindy Moon, a Korean Americans, Korean-American student who was bitten by the same radioactive spider that gave Spider-Man, Peter Parker / Spider-Man his powers. After being a love interest of Peter Parker, she became a member of the Spider-Verse#Web-Warriors, Spider-Army / Web-Warriors and the Agents of Atlas. Maurene Goo is a Korean-American author of young adult fiction and comics. Her books have been translated into twelve languages and two of her novels, ''I Believe in a Thing Called Love'' and ''Somewhere Only We Know'', have been optioned to be made into feature films by Netflix.
