Sihanoukville
Sihanoukville (, ), also known as Kampong Saom (, ) or Preah Sihanouk (, ), is a coastal city in Cambodia and the capital of Preah Sihanouk Province, at the tip of an elevated peninsula in the country's south-west on the Gulf of Thailand. The city has a string of beaches along its coastline and coastal marshlands bordering Ream National Park in the east. It has one navigable river, the mangrove-lined Ou Trojak Jet, running from Otres Pagoda to the sea at Otres. Several sparsely inhabited islands under Sihanoukville's administration are near the city. The city was named in honor of the former king Norodom Sihanouk and as of 2008 had a population of around 89,800 and approximately 66,700 in its urban center. Sihanoukville Autonomous Port
Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (; , PAS) is a government agency and state corporation of Cambodia and Sihanoukville (city), Sihanoukville that operates and governs the country's sole deep water port. In Sihanoukville, on the Bay of Kampong Som of the Gulf of Thailand in south-western Cambodia. The port was inaugurated in 1960 as construction of the Old Jetty's four Berth (moorings), berths had begun in 1955. Since the port has continuously been extended. Preah Sihanouk Municipality, also Krong Preah Sihanouk (, ), is one of the four districts of Sihanoukville Province in Cambodia. In 1998, it had an urban population of 67,440. The Ream National Park (), officially the Preah Sihanouk Ream National Park (), is a national park of Cambodia located from the city of Sihanoukville in the Sihanoukville Municipality of the Sihanoukville Province in southwestern Cambodia. Koh Puos
Koh Puos or Kaoh Puos (), ''Snake Island'' - named "Île Coudée" (Elbow Island) during the French colonial period) is a small island in the Gulf of Thailand, located about off the coast of Sihanoukville city in southern Cambodia. It is administered by Sangkat 3 of Mittakpheap District in Sihanoukville Province. The island has been made accessible via a road bridge, completed in 2011 as part of a development initiative of the Russian Koh Puos Investment Group (KPIG). Gambling in Cambodia is officially illegal under the 1996 Law on Suppression of Gambling, which outlawed all unauthorized forms of gambling and provided for penalties ranging from monetary fines to short prison sentences, although the Government of Cambodia, Cambodian government's General Department of Prisons does not list gambling as one of the 28 offenses punishable by imprisonment. Cambodia is divided into 25 provinces (, ). The capital Phnom Penh is not a province but an "autonomous municipality" (, ; lit.
