Todd Michael Sievers (born April 1, 1980) is a former American football placekicker who played college football for the Miami Hurricanes football, Miami Hurricanes from 1998 to 2002, being part of the 2001 Miami Hurricanes football team, 2001 Division I-A National Championship team. Thadeus Ferdinand Ludwig von Sivers (russian: Фадде́й Васи́льевич Си́верс, tr. ; ?), always falsely referred to as Thadeus von Sievers, was a Baltic German general who served in the Imperial Russian Army. Sievers was most notable for his role in the Invasion of East Prussia during the initial stage of World War I, in which he commanded the 10th Army against the Germans and succeeded in taking the East Prussian towns of Stallupönen (now Nesterov, Russia) and Goldap (now Poland) in October 1914. Further major successes for the Russian Army in East Prussia failed to materialize. In the Second Battle of the Masurian Lakes in February 1915, the 10th Army commanded by Sivers, was largely destroyed. The murder of Teresa Sievers occurred on June 28, 2015, when she was attacked at her home in Bonita Springs, Florida by two men who bludgeoned her to death with a hammer, striking her a total of seventeen times. Police arrested two men from Missouri for the crime: Curtis Wayne Wright Jr. and Jimmy Ray Rodgers. First-class career Sievers began his career in 1930 for the Colts, at 17 years of age. Max Georg Wilhelm Sievers (11 June 1887 in Berlin – 17 January 1944 in Brandenburg an der Havel) was chairman of the German Freethinkers League, writer and active communist. Life Politics Max Sievers opposed the first world war and was an unwilling participant and suffered an arm injury in 1915. The experiences during the war led him to become politically active. He became a socialist, editing the '' Arbeiter-Rats '' (german: 'Workers' Council') and joining the Independent Social Democratic Party of Germany (USPD) by 1919 among other things.
