Sierra De Los Órganos
Sierra de los Órganos () is a mountain range in the province of Pinar del Río, western Cuba. Along with the Sierra del Rosario, it is part of the Guaniguanico mountain range. Geography The ''Sierra'' is the western part of Guaniguanico and spans from Guane to the San Diego River, in the municipality of Los Palacios. The other municipalities including the range are Mantua, San Juan y Martínez, Minas de Matahambre, Viñales, Pinar del Río, Consolación del Sur and La Palma. Landmarks In the middle of the Sierra de los Órganos is located the Viñales Valley, a natural reserve and World Heritage Site. In the east it is the protected area of Mil Cumbres, located almost entirely in the Sierra del Rosario. Viñales Valley
Viñales Valley () is a karstic depression in Cuba. The valley has an area of and is located in the Sierra de los Órganos mountains (part of Guaniguanico range), just north of Viñales in the Pinar del Río Province. In 1999, the valley was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a natural and cultural landscape because of its use of traditional tobacco-growing techniques. Overview Tobacco and other crops are cultivated on the bottom of the valley, mostly by traditional agriculture techniques that have been in use for several centuries. These labor-intensive techniques are said to make for higher-quality tobacco than if mechanical methods are used. Minas de Matahambre () is a municipality and town in the Pinar del Río Province of Cuba. It was declared a National Monument of Cuba. Geography The municipality faces the Gulf of Mexico to the north, where the cays of the Colorados Archipelago are developed off-shore. It is bordered by the municipalities of Mantua, Guane, San Juan y Martínez and Viñales. The municipality includes the villages of Baja, Cabezas, Pons, La Sabana, Río del Medio, Santa Lucía, Sitio Morales and Sumidero. Viñales is a town and municipality in the north-central Pinar del Río Province of Cuba. The town consists mostly of one-story wooden houses with porches.
