Siachoque
Siachoque is a town and municipality in the Central Boyacá Province, part of the Colombian department of Boyacá. Siachoque is situated on the Altiplano Cundiboyacense at a distance of from the department capital Tunja. It borders Toca in the north, Rondón and Viracachá in the south, in the east Toca, Pesca and Rondón and in the west Soracá and Chivatá. Etymology The name Siachoque comes from the Chibcha language of the Muisca people who inhabited the central highlands of present-day Colombia before the Spanish conquest. Muisca Confederation
The Muisca Confederation was a loose confederation of different Muisca rulers (''zaques'', ''zipas'', ''iraca'', and ''tundama'') in the central Andes, Andean highlands of what is today Colombia before the Spanish conquest of the Americas, Spanish conquest of northern South America. Municipalities Of Colombia
The municipalities of Colombia are decentralized subdivisions of the Colombia, Republic of Colombia. Municipalities make up most of the departments of Colombia, with 1,104 municipality, municipalities (''municipios'').
