Shugo Chara!
, also known as ''My Guardian Characters'', is a Japanese shōjo manga, ''shōjo'' manga series created by the Mangaka, manga author duo, Peach-Pit (manga artist duo), Peach-Pit. The story centers on elementary school girl Amu Hinamori, whose popular exterior, referred to as "cool and spicy" by her classmates, contrasts with her introverted personality. When Amu wishes for the courage to be reborn as her would-be self, she is surprised to find three colorful eggs the next morning, which hatch into three Guardian Characters: Ran, Miki, and Su. ''Shugo Chara!'' is serialized in the magazine ''Nakayoshi'' and published by Kodansha in Japan. Magical Girl
is a Genre#Subgenre, subgenre of primarily Japanese fantasy media (including anime, manga, light novels, and live-action media) centered on young girls who possess magical abilities, which they typically use through an ideal alter ego into which they can transform. The genre emerged in 1962 with the manga ''Himitsu no Akko-chan'', followed by ''Sally the Witch'' in 1966. A wave of similar anime produced in the 1970s led to being used as a common term for the genre. Honto No Jibun
is the title of the first single by the Hello! Project unit Buono!. Maimi Yajima and Chisato Okai appear as background characters in the song's Promotional Video. It was first performed on August 22, 2007 at Odaiba's Palette Town and later on Cute's 'Hōkago no Essence' Fall Concert (September 30, 2007) and the 2007 Morning Musume Cultural Festival, on October 7 and October 8, 2007. "Honto no Jibun" was released on October 31, 2007, in Japan under the Pony Canon label in two different versions, regular and limited, the latter of which included an additional DVD. Buono!
Buono! was a subgroup of the Japanese girl groups Berryz Kobo and Cute, formed in 2007 by Up-Front Promotion and associated with Hello! Project. The members consisted of Momoko Tsugunaga and Miyabi Natsuyaki from Berryz Kobo, and Airi Suzuki from Cute. Their vocals were backed by the band Dolce, which formerly went under name Busters! in 2008. Buono! was initially formed as an idol project group to perform theme songs for the ''Shugo Chara!'' anime series, which ran from 2007 to 2010. After the show's end, they moved labels from Pony Canyon to Zetima and starred in the horror film '' Ring of Curse''. Between 2012 and 2016 Buono! became less active and only performed as guest at various Hello! project events. Their radio show "Trattoria Buono!" was still on air until February 2015. is a comic strip format that generally consists of gag comic strips within four panels of equal size ordered from top to bottom. They also sometimes run right-to-left horizontally or use a hybrid 2×2 style, depending on the layout requirements of the publication in which they appear. Rozen Maiden
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Peach-Pit. It was serialized in '' Monthly Comic Birz'' between the September 2002 and July 2007 issues. The individual chapters were collected and released into eight ''tankōbon'' volumes by Gentosha. The eight volumes were localized to North America by Tokyopop between March 2003 and June 2007. The story follows Jun Sakurada, a middle school student who withdrew from society after suffering persecutions from his classmates. Following his withdrawal, he is chosen to become the master to a Rozen Maiden named Shinku. MangaNEXT
MangaNEXT was a fan convention focused exclusively on Japanese manga that occurred every other year in New Jersey. It was the only manga convention in the United States. The event was discontinued in favor of AnimeNEXT, which is run by the same organization. Programming The convention typically offered an artists alley, burlesque show, dealer's room, and swap meet. History MangaNEXT was located at the Crowne Plaza Meadowlands in Secaucus, New Jersey for 2007. In 2008 the convention moved to the Doubletree Somerset Hotel in Somerset, New Jersey for additional space, but suffered from some disorganization and poor communication. The convention in 2012 moved to the Sheraton Hotel in East Rutherford, New Jersey, which had no public transit access.
