Eberron is a campaign setting for the ''Dungeons & Dragons'' (''D&D'') role-playing game. The game is set primarily on the continent of Khorvaire following a vast destructive war. Eberron is designed to accommodate traditional ''D&D'' elements and races within a differently toned setting; Eberron combines a fantasy tone with pulp and dark adventure elements, and some non-traditional fantasy technologies such as trains, skyships, and mechanical beings which are all powered by magic. Eberron was created by author and game designer Keith Baker as the winning entry for Wizards of the Coast's Fantasy Setting Search, a competition run in 2002 to establish a new setting for the ''D&D'' game. Eberron was chosen from more than 11,000 entries, and was officially released with the publication of the ''Eberron Campaign Setting'' hardback book in June 2004. Keith Baker (game Designer)
Keith Baker is an American game designer and Fantasy literature, fantasy novel author. In addition to working with Wizards of the Coast on the creation of Eberron, he has also contributed material for Goodman Games, Paizo Publishing and Green Ronin Publishing. In 2014, Baker and Jennifer Ellis co-founded the indie tabletop game company Twogether Studios. Personal life Baker lives in Portland, Oregon. He has a tattoo of the Dragonmarked house#House Cannith, Greater Mark of Making on his right arm. He is married to product designer Jenn Ellis. Career Prior to working in the role-playing game industry, he worked in the video game industry with Magnet Interactive Studios and a Colorado company, VR1. Keith Baker started as a freelancer known for his work at Atlas Games. James Wyatt (born ) is a game designer and former United Methodist minister. He works for Wizards of the Coast, where he has designed supplements and adventures for the '' Dungeons & Dragons'' (''D&D'') roleplaying game. He is the author of sci-fi and fantasy novels, including Forgotten Realms books, and the 4th edition ''Dungeon Master's Guide''. Film noir (; ) is a style of Cinema of the United States, Hollywood Crime film, crime dramas that emphasizes cynicism (contemporary), cynical attitudes and motivations. The 1940s and 1950s are generally regarded as the "classic period" of American film noir. Film noir of this era is associated with a low-key lighting, low-key, black-and-white visual style that has roots in German expressionist cinematography. Many of the prototypical stories and attitudes expressed in classic noir derive from the hardboiled school of crime fiction that emerged in the United States during the Great Depression, known as noir fiction. The term ''film noir'', French for "black film" (literal) or "dark film" (closer meaning), was first applied to Hollywood films by French critic Nino Frank in 1946, but was unrecognized by most American film industry professionals of that era. Sleepy Hollow (film)
''Sleepy Hollow'' is a 1999 Gothic film, Gothic dark fantasy Horror fiction, supernatural horror film directed by Tim Burton. It is loosely based on Washington Irving's 1820 short story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow", and stars Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci, with Miranda Richardson, Michael Gambon, Casper Van Dien, Christopher Lee, and Jeffrey Jones in supporting roles. The plot follows police constable Ichabod Crane (Depp) sent from New York City to investigate a series of murders in the village of Sleepy Hollow, New York, Sleepy Hollow by a mysterious Headless Horseman. Development began in 1993 at Paramount Pictures, with Kevin Yagher originally set to direct Andrew Kevin Walker's script as a low-budget slasher film.
