Sharifuzzaman
Sharifuzzaman () is a retired Bangladeshi football player who played as a midfielder. He is a member of the first Bangladesh national football team. Personal life Born in Munshiganj Sardar, East Bengal, Sharifuzzaman family had originally moved from Chandpur due to his father's job as a lawyer. Sharif is the second oldest among seven brothers and two sisters. Five of his brothers were also footballers, among them Nowsheruzzaman and Arifuzzaman played with alongside him at Mohammedan SC in 1975. While the other two Ashraf and Mamun played in the Dhaka First Division League. His brother Badiuzzaman Khosru, initially participated in the 1971 Liberation War alongside him. He studied in Dhaka University alongside his brother Nowsher, and got a degree in physics. Playing career In 1969, Sharif made his First Division debut with Fire Service SC. WAPDA Sports Club () is a multi-sports club based mainly in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The club is owned by the Bangladesh Power Development Board. The club was well known for its football team which participated in domestic football prior to the turn of the century. AKM Nowsheruzzaman
AKM Nowsheruzzaman (; 5 December 1950 – 21 September 2020), better known as Nowsher, was a Bangladeshi footballer who played as a striker or left-winger. In 1971, he toured India with the Shadhin Bangla football team in order to raise international awareness about the Bangladesh Liberation War. After liberation, he was also part of the first ever Bangladesh national football team. In 1973, Nowsher scored the only goal in a friendly match against Singapore, securing Bangladesh their inaugural international football victory. While at club level, his best season was in 1975 for Mohammedan SC, when he became the First Division League top-scorer with 21 goals. Bangladesh National Football Team
The Bangladesh national football team () is the national recognised football team of Bangladesh and is controlled by the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). It is a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) since 1973 and of FIFA since 1976, even though the Bangladesh Football Federation was first founded in 1972. Munshiganj Sadar () is an upazila of Munshiganj District in the Division of Dhaka Division, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
