Shannon Briggs
Shannon Briggs (born December 4, 1971) is an American former professional boxer. He is a two-time heavyweight champion, having held the lineal heavyweight championship from 1997 to 1998, and the WBO title from 2006 to 2007. Briggs is known for his formidable punching power and aggression, possessing an 88.3% knockout-to-win percentage with 37 knockout wins in the first round. World heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis stated in 2015 that Briggs had the fastest hands and best punching power of any opponent he ever faced. Early life Briggs was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn. For a period in his childhood he was homeless. Michael Gerard Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1985 to 2005. John Bray (boxer)
John Fitzgerald Bray (born June 17, 1970, in Van Nuys, California) is a former American Heavyweight boxer. Amateur career Bray had a solid amateur career prior to turning professional. He won the National AAU Heavyweight Championship in 1991. Bray won the United States Amateur 201-lb championship by defeating Bobby Harris via TKO in semi-finals and a 4–1 victory over Javier Alvarez in finals. In November 1991 he lost in the World Amateur Championships 14–6 to Bert Teuchert. In 1992 Bray competed in the Olympic Trials Western Regionals and won via KO over Wesley Martin and then beat Sammy Denson 3–2, but then lost to Marlon Simpkins 5–0. Cedric Boswell (born July 21, 1969) is an American professional boxer. He was touted as a future heavyweight contender early in his pro career, which began in 1994. As an amateur, he defeated Shannon Briggs on points at the National Golden Gloves quarterfinals. Known as "The Bos", Boswell began his professional career with 21 straight wins, blasting out limited opposition to set up a fight against Jameel McCline in 2003. McCline won via TKO in the 10th, and Boswell didn't fight again until 2006. Boswell fought undefeated (27-0) Roman Greenberg in August 2008, and won via a shocking 2nd-round TKO. Donovan "Razor" Ruddock (born December 21, 1963) is a Jamaican-born Canadian former professional boxer who competed from 1982 to 2001 and in 2015. He is known for his two fights against Mike Tyson in 1991, a fight against Lennox Lewis in 1992, and a fight with Tommy Morrison in 1995. Ruddock was also known for his exceptionally heavy punching; one of the best examples of his left hand power was his knockout of former WBA heavyweight champion Michael Dokes in 1990.
