Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy
Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy () is an Indian musical trio consisting of Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa. They have composed music for over 50 soundtracks across five languages: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi and English. Amongst the most critically acclaimed Indian musicians, the trio have won numerous awards, including National Film Awards, Filmfare Awards, and IIFA Awards. They are often referred to as the " Amar Akbar Anthony" (AAA) of the Hindi film music industry. Ehsaan Noorani
Ehsaan Noorani is an Indian composer and guitarist. Music career Noorani is the part of the ''Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy'' trio, which consists of Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonsa and himself. He started off as a freelance guitarist for many composers including Louis Banks, Ashok Patki, Ronnie Desai and Gary Lawyer to name a few . Ehsaan studied music with Mr. Bismarck Rodrigues, an experienced guitar teacher from Mumbai. Noorani studied music at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California from 1985 to 1986 . Loy Mendonsa is an Indian music director and part of the Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio which consists of himself, Shankar Mahadevan and Ehsaan Noorani. Before becoming a music composer, he played piano and keyboards for famous Indian music composers such as A. R. Rahman and Nadeem-Shravan. His daughter, Alyssa Mendonsa, made her singing debut with the song ''Uff Teri Adaa'' from the movie Karthik Calling Karthik. Shankar Mahadevan (born 3 March 1967) is an Indian singer and composer who is part of the Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy trio that writes music for Indian films. In 2023, he was awarded an honorary doctorate (''honoris causa'' degree) by Birmingham City University.
