Shanghai SIPG
Shanghai Port Football Club (), previously Shanghai SIPG (), is a Chinese professional football club based in Shanghai, that competes in . Shanghai Port plays its home matches at the Pudong Football Stadium, located within Pudong. Their owners are the Chinese group Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG). The club was founded on 25 December 2005 as Shanghai East Asia Football Club by former Chinese international footballer Xu Genbao. The club used graduates from the Genbao Football Base, a football academy also founded by Xu, to form their first team as they made their debut in the third tier of China's football league pyramid in the 2006 league season. They made it to the top tier and finished as league champions for the first time in the 2018 Chinese Super League season, before winning two more consecutive titles in 2023 and 2024. Pudong Football Stadium
The Pudong Football Stadium, currently named SAIC Motor Pudong Arena due to sponsorship reasons, is a association football, football stadium in Shanghai, China. Completed in October 2020, it is the home of Chinese Super League club Shanghai Port FC, Shanghai Port. The stadium has a capacity of 37,000. Construction Construction began on 28 April 2018 according to the construction plans of HPP Architekten. The white metal exterior design of the stadium is based on reminiscent of a Chinese porcelain bowl. Events On 4 June 2019, China was announced as the host of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup. It was subsequently reported that the final and one semi-final would be held at the venue. However, in May 2022, China withdrew from hosting the tournament due to the COVID-19 pandemic in China. Cao Yunding (; born 22 November 1989) is a Chinese former footballer who played as a right-footed left winger. Club career Cao Yunding started his football career when he joined the Genbao Football Academy in 2000 and was promoted to Shanghai East Asia's first team during the 2006 season. He scored his first goal for the club on 20 August 2006 in a 4-1 win against Wuhan Yaqi. Cao established himself as a regular in the team as the club won third tier title and promotion to the second tier during the 2007 season. In the 2009 season, the club became genuine promotion candidates and Cao played twenty-two games and scored two goals as Shanghai East Asia finished fourth and narrowly missed out on promotion. Fan Zhiyi
Fan Zhiyi ( zh, c=范志毅, p=Fàn Zhìyì; born 6 November 1969) is a Chinese coach and former international footballer. He played as a defender for Shanghai Shenhua, Crystal Palace, Dundee, Shanghai COSCO Huili, Cardiff City, Buler Rangers and Shanghai Zobon. He was considered a trailblazer in his native homeland when Sun Jihai and he became the first two Chinese footballers to play in the English leagues, joining Crystal Palace in 1998.
