Shamim Hilaly
Shamim Hilaly (, born 1947) is a Pakistani actress who has acted in both films and television. She is most famous for acting in PTV dramas including ''Barzakh'', ''Mere Dard Ko Jo Zuban Mile'', ''Parosi'' and ''Waqt Ko Tham Lo''. She is noted for her performance in ''Maigh Malhar'' during the 1990s. She has also acted in Pakistan's only English language movie, ''Beyond the Last Mountain'' (1976). Early life Shamim was born in Bombay, British India. After partition her family moved to Pakistan at Lahore. She was interested in acting from a young age, and she did theatre and dramatic plays at the Convent of Jesus and Mary. Aslam Azhar (; 2 September 1932 – 29 December 2015) was a Pakistan Television executive, considered to be the "founding father of Pakistan Television". He was the first Chairman and Managing Director of PTV first appointed during Ayub Khan government in November 1964 when PTV ''Lahore Center'' first started broadcasting and went on the air. He was awarded the Tamgha-i-Pakistan (Medal of Pakistan) for his pioneering services in the television broadcasting field by the President of Pakistan. Network Television Marketing or ''NTM'' was Pakistan's first private television slot. The company's productions first aired on Peoples TV Network (PTN, later renamed as STN) in 1990. In the 1990s, PTN entered into a three-year agreement with Interflow and created NTM Its broadcasts on STN started in 1992, alongside the channel. One of its initial figures was Tahir Khan, who later owned TV One. NTM produced plays, stage and music shows. 6th International Film Festival Of India
The 6th International Film Festival of India was held from 3–16 January 1977 in New Delhi. The festival highlighted Indian films which have won awards at foreign film festivals. The festival instituted Silver Peacock Awards for Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Short film, along with Bronze Peacock for Best Short film for the first time. From the sixth edition the period as well as the dates for the festival were fixed as 3–17 January every alternate year.
