Shakuntala Baliarsingh
Shakuntala Baliarsingh (born 25 February 1948) is an Indian Odia language writer and translator. Life Baliarsingh was born in 1948 in Ramapuram, Kottayam, India. She studied at Utkal University. Baliarsingh has published over 30 books, including ''Angyata basara itikatha'', ''Swaymsidha'', ''Bipanna Nabika'', and ''Odia Sahityare Jatiyabadi Chetana,'' which explores the impact of Indian nationalism and consciousness on Oriya literature. She also writes articles for newspapers. Ramapuram, Kottayam
Ramapuram is a town in the Kottayam district of the Indian state of Kerala. Etymology The word "Ramapuram" means "the abode of Lord Rama", the village's chief deity. Ramapuram is unique in the sense that it houses the temple of Rama as well as his three brothers in a radius of just 3.5 km. Lakshmana at Koodappulam, Bharata (Ramayana), Bharata at Amanakara and Shatrughna at Methiri. Because of this, the village is a Hindu Pilgrimage center too.
