Shahidullah (cricketer)
Shahidullah (born 6 February 1999) is an Afghan cricketer. He made his List A debut for Afghanistan A against Zimbabwe A during their tour to Zimbabwe on 27 January 2017. He was named in Afghanistan's squad for the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his international debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in March 2021, in a Test match against Zimbabwe. Career A batting all-rounder, Shahidullah made his Twenty20 debut for Band-e-Amir Dragons in the 2017 Shpageeza Cricket League on 12 September 2017. He made his first-class debut for Mis Ainak Region in the 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament on 19 November 2017. He was the leading run-scorer for Mis Ainak Region in the 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament, with 663 runs in eight matches. In September 2018, Shahidullah was named in Kabul's squad in the first edition of the Afghanistan Premier League tournament. Khost
Khōst () is the capital of Khost Province in Afghanistan. It is the largest city in the southeastern part of the country, and also the largest in the region of Loya Paktia. To the south and east of Khost lie Waziristan and Kurram Agency, Kurram in Pakistan. Khost is the home of Shaikh Zayed University. 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was a one-day cricket competition for sixteen international U-19 cricketing teams which was played in the United Arab Emirates. It was the tenth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Sixteen nations competed: the ten Test-playing teams, the United Arab Emirates as hosts, and five additional associate and affiliate qualifiers (Afghanistan, Canada, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, and Scotland). India entered the tournament as defending champions, having won the title in 2012 in Australia under the captaincy of Unmukt Chand. 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup
The 2019 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup was the fourth edition of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup held in Bangladesh between 14 and 23 November 2019. Eight teams participated in the tournament, including five under-23 age level teams of Test cricket, Test nations and the top three teams from the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier. The tournament was organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Nepal national cricket team, Nepal replaced the United Arab Emirates national cricket team, United Arab Emirates, after they pulled out due to an unknown reason. Nepal qualified on virtue of being fourth in the Asia Cup qualifier. Pakistan won the tournament, beating Bangladesh by 77 runs in the final. 2019–20 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series
The 2019–20 Bangladesh Tri-Nation Series was a cricket tournament that took place in September 2019. It was a tri-nation series featuring Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe with all the matches played as Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Zimbabwe lost their first three matches of the series, therefore, Bangladesh and Afghanistan progressed to the final. No play was possible in the final due to rain, therefore Bangladesh and Afghanistan shared the trophy. 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup
The 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup was the third edition of the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup held in Karachi, Pakistan and Colombo, Sri Lanka. Eight teams participated in the tournament including five under-23 age level teams of Test nations and top three teams from 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier. This tournament was organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Initially, Pakistan was sole host for the tournament but India and BCCI refused to send Indian players to Pakistan. Following the increasing political tensions between India and Pakistan, ACC announced that Sri Lanka would be the co-host whilst India's matches and knockout stage will be played there. Afghanistan Premier League
The Afghanistan Premier League (; ), officially Gulbahar Afghanistan Premier League for sponsorship reasons, was a Twenty20 cricket franchise tournament run by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), held in the United Arab Emirates.) The only tournament took place between 5 and 21 October 2018 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, with up to forty overseas players involved. 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament
The 2018 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament was an edition of the Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament, a cricket tournament in Afghanistan. It was the second edition of the competition to be played with first-class status. The tournament started on 1 March 2018 and finished on 12 May 2018. Six regional teams, one more than the previous tournament, competed in a round-robin format with the top two teams in the group progressing to the final. Band-e-Amir Region were the defending champions. In the round seven fixture between Kabul Region and Boost Region, Kabul batsman Shafiqullah scored the fastest double century in first-class cricket. He scored 200 not out from 89 balls, and also scored the most sixes in a first-class match, with 24. The final was played between Amo Region and Band-e-Amir Region. The 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament was an edition of the Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament, a cricket tournament in Afghanistan. Mis Ainak Knights
Mis Ainak Knights ( ''Mis Ainak Atalān'') or Mis Ainak Region is one of eight regional first-class cricket teams in Afghanistan. The region represents the following provinces in the southeast of Afghanistan, to the south of the capital Kabul: Khost, Logar, Paktia and Paktika. The team is named after Mes Aynak, an archaeological site in Logar Province. Mis Ainak Region compete in the Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament, which has had first-class status from 2017 onwards. In October 2017, they won their opening fixture of the tournament, against Band-e-Amir Region, by 262 runs. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is of three or more days scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The 2017 season of the Shpageeza Cricket League (), also known as SCL 5, was the fifth edition of the Shpageeza, a professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) in 2013. The tournament featured the six teams that played in the previous season.
