Shadowverse
''Shadowverse'' is a digital collectible card game developed and published by Cygames. It was released free-to-play for iOS and Android devices in June 2016. macOS and Windows versions were released in October 2016. ''Shadowverse'' employs an anime art style with some illustrations reused from the developer's previous title, ''Rage of Bahamut'', an earlier digital collectible card game released in 2012. The game has been compared favorably with ''Hearthstone'' (2014), a difference being that Cygames sought to minimize the impact of randomness on match outcomes. Another difference is ''Shadowverse''s "Evolve" game mechanic which allows players to grant played cards bonus stats and effects at the cost of an evolution point. An anime television series adaptation by Zexcs aired from April 2020 to March 2021. A second anime series titled ''Shadowverse Flame'' from April 2022 to September 2024. An RPG card game based on the anime, ''Shadowverse: Champion's Battle'' was released on the ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Digital Collectible Card Games
A digital collectible card game (DCCG) or online collectible card game (OCCG) is a computer or video game that emulates collectible card games (CCG) and is typically played online or occasionally as a standalone video game. Many DCCGs are types of digital tabletop games and follow traditional card game-style rules, while some DCCGs use alternatives for cards and gameboards, such as icons, dice and avatars. Originally, DCCGs started out as replications of a CCG's physical counterpart, but many DCCGs have foregone a physical version and exclusively release as a video game, such as with ''Hearthstone''. Gameplay These games manage all the rules of a CCG, such as tracking the avatar's health, removing damaged creatures from the board, and shuffling decks when necessary. The games are managed on servers to maintain the player's library and any purchases of booster packs and additional cards through either in-game or real-world money. Some games, like '' Chaotic'', '' Bella Sara'', and ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Single-player
A single-player video game is a video game where input from only one player is expected throughout the gameplay. Video games in general can feature several game modes, including single-player modes designed to be played by a single player in addition to multi-player modes. Most modern console games, PC games and arcade games are designed so that they can be played by a single player; although many of these games have modes that allow two or more players to play (not necessarily simultaneously), very few actually require more than one player for the game to be played. The '' Unreal Tournament'' series is one example of such. History The earliest video games, such as ''Tennis for Two'' (1958), '' Spacewar!'' (1962), and '' Pong'' (1972), were symmetrical games designed to be played by two players. Single-player games gained popularity only after this, with early titles such as '' Speed Race'' (1974) and ''Space Invaders'' (1978). The reason for this, according to Raph Koster, ...
