Señorita Panamá 2019
Señorita Panamá 2019 was the 53rd Señorita Panamá pageant. It selected the national representatives to the Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Grand International competitions. This was the fourth edition of the renewed Señorita Panama pageant, under the direction of Cesar Anel Rodríguez, who took charge of the national event in 2016. Twenty-four preliminary contestants were selected from throughout Panama and competed for the crown. The 2019 edition was held, for the second year in a row, at the Roberto Durán Arena in Panama City on June 20, 2018. Señorita Panamá 2018 Rosa Montezuma of Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca, Comarcas crowned Mehr Eliezer of Panamá Province, Isla Flamenco as her successor at the end of the event. Mehr Eliezer (born 16 January 1997) is a Panamanian model, actress and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Señorita Panamá 2019. She represented Panama at Miss Universe 2019. Born in New Delhi, she was raised in Panama and the Philippines. Personal life Mehr Eliezer was born in New Delhi, India and raised in Panama City. She lived in Metro Davao, Davao in the Philippines for two years where she attended the Ateneo de Davao University, Ateneo de Davao. She graduated from Balboa Academy in 2015 and earned two Bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and Economics from Florida State University in 2019. Miss Universe 2019 was the 68th Miss Universe pageant, held at Stage 1 of Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, United States on 8 December 2019. At the end of the event, Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa was crowned as Miss Universe 2019 by Catriona Gray of the Philippines. It was South Africa's third win after 1978 and their recent victory in 2017. Miss Universe 2005 was the 54th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Impact Arena in Nonthaburi Province, Bangkok Metropolitan Region, Thailand on 31 May 2005. At the end of the event, Jennifer Hawkins of Australia crowned Natalie Glebova of Canada as Miss Universe 2005.
