Señorita Panamá 2017 the 51st Señorita Panamá pageant selecting delegates to Miss Universe and Miss World. The 2017 pageant was split into two contests, Señorita Panamá Mundo and Señorita Panamá. It was the second edition of the renewed Señorita Panama pageant, after Justine Pasek, Miss Universe 2002, and César Anel Rodríguez be named the new directors of the pageant in Panamá. 20 preliminary contestants were selected from all over Panama and competed for the prestigious crown. The event was held at the Atlapa Convention Centre, Ciudad de Panamá, Panama, August 25, 2017. Contestants from all over the country competed for the crown. Señorita Panamá 2016 Keity Drennan of Panama City crowned Laura de Sanctis of Contadora Island as her successor at the end of the event. Makano
Hernán Enrique Jiménez Pino (born May 7, 1983), is a Panamanian singer better known by his stage name Makano. At the age of 12, Jiménez was part of a reggaeton group called "Los Makanos". The members of the group made a promise that the first of them to record a full album would carry on the group's name. Makano in Panama and Colombia means "strong like a tree". When he was 16, Jiménez was writing quality music, but his father discouraged him from music, saying he needed to get a real job. After several years of trying, an opportunity appeared and Jimenez appeared on the CD ''La Alianza'' in 2004. Afterward, he was given the chance to record several songs, which later became number one hits in Panama. Taboga Island
Taboga Island (), also known as the "Island of Flowers", is a volcanic island in the Gulf of Panama. It is a tourist destination, with a small population of approximately 1,600 people, about from Panama City, Panama. Isla Del Rey (Panama)
Isla del Rey is the largest island in the Pearl Islands in the Gulf of Panama. It has an area of , and a population of 1,676 (census 2000). Its current name is probably more a reference to Christ the King than to a secular king. There are four towns, which are San Miguel, Panamá Province, San Miguel (pop. 967), La Esmeralda, Panama, La Esmeralda (pop. 524), La Ensenada (pop. 94) and La Guinea (pop. 83). It is larger than the other Pearl Islands combined, and is the second largest island in Panama, after Coiba. Coclé () is a province of central Panama on the nation's southern coast. The administrative capital is the city of Penonomé. Miss International 2017
Miss International 2017, the 57th Miss International pageant, was held on November 14, 2017 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Kylie Verzosa of the Philippines crowned her successor Kevin Lilliana Junaedy of Indonesia at the end of the event. This edition also saw the crowning of the first ever Muslim women to win Miss International, and was the first to win one of the four major international pageants for Indonesia. Miss Earth 2017 was the 17th edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, the Philippines, on November 4, 2017. Katherine Espín of Ecuador crowned Karen Ibasco of the Philippines as her successor at the end of the event.
