Señorita Panamá
The Señorita Panamá is a national beauty pageant in Panama. As of the 2024 edition, Señorita Panamá winners represent Panamá in Miss Universe. The Miss Panama brand started in 1952, when the Panamanian Institute of Tourism received an invitation from Miss Universe to send a representative. In 1975, the Señorita Panamá name was used for the first time, reverting to Miss Panama in 1976. In 1982, Señorita Panamá was created by RPC Channel 4 as an alternative to send its winners to the Miss World contest in London. These pageants, along with smaller pageants such as Miss International Panamá and Miss World Panamá celebrated to select delegates for international representations. Miss Universe 2002
Miss Universe 2002 was the 51st Miss Universe pageant, held at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico, San Juan, Puerto Rico on 29 May 2002. At the end of the event, Denise Quiñones of Puerto Rico crowned Oxana Fedorova of Russia as Miss Universe 2002. This was the first time that Russia had been crowned Miss Universe. Fedorova had her title removed four months later as she could not travel to fulfill her duties, and was replaced by first runner-up Justine Pasek of Panama. Contestants from seventy-five countries competed in this pageant. The competition was hosted by Phil Simms and Daisy Fuentes, and Miss Universe 1997 Brook Lee was the backstage correspondent. Miss Earth 2006
Miss Earth 2006 was the sixth edition of the Miss Earth pageant, held at the grounds of the National Museum of the Philippines in Manila, Philippines, on 26 November 2006. At the end of the event, Alexandra Braun of Venezuela crowned Hil Hernández of Chile as Miss Earth 2006. It is the first victory of Chile at the pageant. Contestants from 82 countries and territories competed in this year's pageant, an increase from the 80 contestants in 2005. Stefanie de Roux Martin (born 5 August 1982) is a Panamanian model, TV host and beauty pageant titleholder. She was the winner of the 2002 Señorita Panamá pageant, and she competed in the Miss Universe 2003 pageant held in Panama City, Panama, where she was a semifinalist (Top 15). Nadege Elena Herrera Vásquez, (born 17 November 1986), is a Panamanian model and beauty pageant titleholder. Her career started in 2004 at the age of 17.
