Señorita Colombia 2019
Señorita Colombia 2019 was the 67th edition of the Miss Colombia pageant. It was held at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia on November 11, 2019. At the end of the event, Gabriela Tafur of Valle del Cauca crowned María Fernanda Aristizábal of Quindío as Señorita Colombia 2019-2020. Aristizábal was set to compete at Miss Universe 2020, but since June 2020, Natalie Ackermann gained ownership of the Miss Universe franchise of Colombia, where a new pageant would select the representative of Colombia to the Miss Universe pageant. The new organization did not allow Aristizábal to compete in Miss Universe 2020, thus barring Aristizábal to compete in the said pageant. On April 6, 2022, Aristizábal was appointed as Miss Universe Colombia 2022 by the Miss Universe Colombia Organization and represented Colombia at Miss Universe 2022, and concluded as one of the sixteen semi-finalists. Santander Department
Santander () is a department of Colombia. Santander inherited the name of one of the nine original states of the United States of Colombia. Miss Universe 2022 was the 71st Miss Universe pageant, held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States on 14 January 2023. This was the first edition held under the ownership of JKN Global Group. At the conclusion of the event, Harnaaz Sandhu of India crowned R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States as Miss Universe 2022, marking the List of Miss USA titleholders, ninth victory of the United States in the pageant. R'Bonney Gabriel was the oldest entrant to be crowned, surpassing Andrea Meza of Mexico in Miss Universe 2020, 2020. Noticias Caracol
''Noticias Caracol'' (until 9 October 2007 ''Caracol Noticias'') is the name for all the national newscast from the news division of Caracol Televisión which carries the same name. It is broadcast four times on weekdays and twice on weekends. In January 2015 the new director is Juan Roberto Vargas and the second director is Alberto Medina Lopez. Before becoming a network, Caracol Televisión produced the morning newscast ''7:30 Caracol'' in the mid-1990s. Several well-known Colombian journalists, such as Claudia Palacios, Érika Fontalvo, and María Cristina Uribe were also news presenters of ''Caracol Noticias''. Yamid Amat was its director until March 2002. The newsroom and studio was built in nine months before ''Caracol Noticias first airing, on 10 July 1998. Miss Universe 2020
Miss Universe 2020 was the 69th Miss Universe pageant, held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, United States, on 16 May 2021. At the end of the event, Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa crowned Andrea Meza of Mexico as Miss Universe 2020. It was Mexico’s first victory in ten years and the third victory for the country in the pageant’s history. Contestants from seventy-four countries and territories competed in this year's pageant, featuring the smallest number of candidates at the pageant since 2003. Gabriela Tafur
Gabriela Tafur Náder (born 7 July 1995) is a beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Colombia 2018. She represented Colombia at Miss Universe 2019 and reached placed in the Top 5 finalist. Early life and education Tafur was born in Cali on 7 July 1995 to Octavio Tafur and Olga Liliana Náder. She is of maternal Lebanese descent; her grandfather was originally from Chartoun, Aley District in Lebanon, and immigrated to Colombia during the Lebanese Civil War. She speaks Spanish, English and Portuguese. After graduating from Colegio Bolivar in Cali, Tafur moved to Bogotá to study law at the University of Los Andes, where she graduated cum laude. Miss Colombia (Formally ''Concurso Nacional de Belleza de Colombia'', English: ''"National Beauty Contest of Colombia"'') is the national beauty pageant organization in Colombia. The current Miss Colombia is Catalina Duque Abréu of Antioquia, who was crowned on 10 November 2024. Pageant rules Colombia has rigid and strict rules regarding participation of any Miss Universe preliminary aspirant: once a contestant registers for the pageant, she is confined to her own Department and cannot move or relocate to other states/provinces.
