Severin Leopoldus Løvenskiold
Severin (Søren) Leopoldus Løvenskiold (31 December 1719 - 9 April 1776) was a Norwegian- Danish timber merchant abd labndowner. In 1763, he was created a baron of Løvenborg (with Vognserup) was at the same time converted into a barony. He and his wife belonged to the circle around Andreas Peter Bernstorff. They were the parents of Michael Herman Løvenskiold. Early life and education Løvenskiold was born 31 December 1719 Bjørntved, Norway. He was the son of konferensråd Herman Leopoldus (1677-1750) and Kirsten Sørensdatter Brinck (død 1736). The father's first wife was Inger Halvorsdatter Borse (1677-1714). His father had made a fortune in the timber and iron industry. In the late 1730s, he moved to Denmark where he bought the estates Aggersvold (1837) and Birkholm (1838). Frederiksstaden
Frederiksstaden is a district in Copenhagen, Denmark. Constructed during the reign of Frederick V of Denmark, Frederick V in the second half of the 18th century, it is considered to be one of the most important rococo complexes in Europe and was included in the 2006 Danish Culture Canon. It was developed to commemorate the 300 years jubilee of the House of Oldenburg ascending to the Danish throne. Adam Gottlob Moltke, A. G. Ove Høegh-Guldberg
Ove Høegh-Guldberg (born ''Guldberg''; 1 September 1731 – 7 February 1808) was a Danish statesman, historian, and ''de facto'' prime minister of Denmark during the reign of the mentally unstable King Christian VII. Biography Guldberg was born at Horsens in Jutland, Denmark-Norway. He was the son of Jørgen Pedersen Høg (1683-1751) and Helene Dorthea Ovesdatter Guldberg (c. 1697-1742). With the support of his maternal uncle Dines Guldberg, a priest in Gylling, he was educated as a theologian; he earned a theology degree in 1753. Later he became a historian and in 1761 a professor at Sorø Academy. Like many other middle class academics of his age, he was a mixture of patriotic pragmatist and orthodox royalist. Jens Baggesen
Jens Immanuel Baggesen (15 February 1764 – 3 October 1826) was a major Danish poet, librettist, critic, and comic writer. Life Baggesen was born at Korsør on the Danish island of Zealand on February 15, 1764. His parents were very poor, and he was sent to copy documents at the office of the clerk of Hornsherred District before he was twelve. He was a melancholy, feeble child, and he attempted suicide more than once. By dint of indomitable perseverance, he managed to gain an education; in 1782, he entered the University of Copenhagen. His first work—a verse ''Comical Tales'' broadly similar to the later ''Broad Grins'' of Colman the Younger—took the capital by storm and the struggling poet found himself a popular favorite at age 21. Johannes Ewald
Johannes Ewald (18 November 174317 March 1781) was a Danish national dramatist, psalm writer and poet. The lyrics of a song from one of his plays are used for one of the Danish national anthems, ''Kong Christian stod ved højen mast'' which has equal status of national anthem together with '' Der er et yndigt land''. Quite until the days of romanticism, Ewald was considered the unsurpassed Danish poet.
