Seven Network (stylised 7Network, and commonly known as Channel Seven or simply Seven) is an Australian commercial free-to-air Television broadcasting in Australia, television network. It is owned by Seven West Media, Seven West Media Limited, and is one of the five main free-to-air television networks in Australia. The network's headquarters are located in Sydney. As of 2014, it was the second-largest network in the country in terms of population reach. Seven Network shows various nonfiction shows—such as news broadcasts (''Seven News'') and sports programming—as well as fiction shows. In 2011, the network won all 40 out of 40 weeks of the ratings season for total viewers, being the first to achieve this since the introduction of the OzTAM ratings system in 2001. TNT (Australian TV Station)
TNT is an Australian television station, TV station based in Launceston, Tasmania, owned by Southern Cross Austereo. Originally broadcasting to northern Tasmania, it has broadcast to the whole of Tasmania since aggregation of the Tasmanian television market in 1994. History TNT-9 was founded as Northern TV Ltd and broadcast in Launceston and Northern Tasmania; the first day of operation was on 26 May. In 1965, TNT-9 became a part of ENT Ltd (Examiner-Northern TV Ltd). By 1980, TNT-9 adopted a custom version of the Nine Network's "9 Dots" logo. TVSN
TVSN (an acronym for "Television Shopping Network") is an Australian and New Zealand broadcast, cable television and satellite television network specialising in home shopping. It is owned by parent company Direct Group Pty Ltd, a home marketing and shopping company based in the Sydney suburb of Frenchs Forest, which also owns sister channel Expo. The channel broadcasts live every day from 08:30 to 21:30 AEST. History TVSN began broadcasting on 4 December 1995 from the North Ryde studios owned by Global Television (originally owned by Channel 10 Sydney) as The Value Channel. 7flix is an Australian free-to-air digital television multichannel, which was launched by the Seven Network on 28 February 2016. 7flix targets a variety of viewers and offers drama, comedy, reality, docusoap, and movies. History On 18 December 2015, a test pattern began broadcasting on channel 76, reading "New Channel Coming Soon". Seven acknowledged the broadcast, and director of programming, Angus Ross, formally announced on 1 February 2016 that Seven was launching a new channel, and more details would be released soon. Seven Regional WA is an Australian Television broadcasting in Australia, television network serving all of Western Australia outside metropolitan Perth. It launched on 10 March 1967 as BTW-3 in Bunbury, Western Australia, Bunbury, and became known as the Golden West Network (GWN, and later GWN7) in 1979. Prime7, formerly Prime Television and other names, was an Australian Television broadcasting in Australia, television network. Prime Television launched on 17 March 1962 as ''CBN (Australian TV station), CBN-8'' in Orange, New South Wales, Orange, and later expanded to cover regional New South Wales, Victoria (Australia), Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory. Eveleigh is an inner southern suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Eveleigh is located about 3 kilometres south of the Sydney central business district and is part of the local government area of the City of Sydney. SES/RTS, part of the WIN Television network, are Australian television stations licensed to, and serving the rural south-east portion of South Australia, including Mount Gambier, the Limestone Coast and the Riverland. The network began as two separate stations, SES-8 and RTS-5A. History It was originally two individual stations serving different regions. SES-8 originally planned to launch on 20 November 1965. Due to a tensioning wire being snapped on a 500-foot transmitter mast at Mount Burr, sending the tower crashing to the ground and containing 200 tonnes of steel, SES-8 instead commenced transmissions on 25 March 1966 at 7:30pm, opened by Dr. Jim Forbes, who also helped open national station ABGS-1 in December 1965, serving Mount Gambier and south-east South Australia. MTN (TV Station)
MTN is a television station licensed to serve Griffith and the surrounding Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA). The station is owned and operated by WIN Corporation as a Seven Network affiliate. As WIN is the sole commercial television broadcaster in the area, they also supply the stations AMN, a Nine Network affiliate, and the supplementary station MDN, a Network 10 affiliate. This twinstick operation was permitted due to the broadcasting authorities considering Griffith and the MIA too small for three television companies, but large enough for a single company running two stations. The broadcast region covers approximately 39,700 square kilometres, encompassing 20 urban centres which include Leeton, Narrandera, Hay, Hillston and Lake Cargelligo.
