Serkan Yıldırım
Serkan Yıldırım (born Persian: ; Latin: Sajjad Hashemi Ahangari on 22 August 1991) is an Iranian-born Turkish athlete. He has competed at both the Olympic and Paralympic Games competing in the 100 m and 400 m sprint events, as well as being a World Champion and World Record holder in the T12 classification. Sport career In Iran He was a semi-finalist in the event at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Athletics and came fifth at the 2008 Asian Junior Athletics Championships the following year. He returned for the 2010 Asian Junior Athletics Championships and won the 400 m, as well as taking a relay bronze medal and setting a 200 metres national record of 21.09 seconds for fourth place. The Paralympic Games or Paralympics is a periodic series of international multisport events involving athletes with a range of disability, disabilities. There are Winter Paralympic Games, Winter and Summer Paralympic Games, which since the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea, have been held shortly after the corresponding Olympic Games. 200 Metres
The 200 metres, or 200-meter dash, is a sprint running event. On an outdoor 400-metre racetrack, the race begins on the curve and ends on the home straight, so a combination of techniques is needed to successfully run the race. A slightly shorter race, called the '' stadion'' and run on a straight track, was the first recorded event at the ancient Olympic Games. The 200 m places more emphasis on speed endurance than shorter sprint distances as athletes predominantly rely on anaerobic energy system during the 200 m sprint. Similarly to other sprint distances, the 200 m begins from the starting blocks. When the sprinters adopt the 'set' position in the blocks they are able to adopt a more efficient starting posture and isometrically preload their muscles. 2010 Asian Junior Athletics Championships
The 2010 Asian Junior Athletics Championships was the 14th edition of the international athletics competition for Asian under-20 athletes, organised by the Asian Athletics Association. It took place from 1 to 4 July 2010 at the Mỹ Đình National Stadium in Hanoi – the first time the competition was held in Vietnam. A total of 44 events were contested, which were divided equally between male and female athletes. Three championship records were improved over the course of the four-day competition and numerous national junior records were also bettered. The competition, including its opening and closing ceremonies, was broadcast live on Vietnamese carrier VTV3. China was easily the most successful nation, topping the medal tally with thirteen gold medals and 26 medals in total.
