Ilmarinen
Ilmarinen () is a god and archetypal artificer from Finnish mythology. He is immortal and capable of creating practically anything. In addition, he is described as working the known metals of the time, including brass, copper, iron, gold, and silver. The great works of Ilmarinen include the crafting of the dome of the sky and the forging of the Sampo. Ilmarinen was the successor of the original sky god from West Uralic mythology. In runic songs, many of his roles were later shifted to the new sky god Ukko, but both became less important than the new Odin-resembling hero Väinämöinen. In the ''Kalevala'', he is a blacksmith and an inventor. His usual epithet in the Kalevala is ''seppä'' or ''seppo'' ("smith"), which is the source of the given name Seppo. Seppo Sairanen
Seppo Sairanen (born 23 March 1952) is a Finnish football manager and a former football goalkeeper. He played eight seasons and 150 matches in the Finnish premier division Mestaruussarja for Ässät, Pyrkivä, Ilves and PPT. ''Salatut elämät'' ("Secret Lives", literally "Concealed Lives") is a Finnish television soap opera that premiered on MTV3 on 25 January 1999. The series' storylines follow the daily lives of several families who live in the same apartment block, Pihlajakatu 23 B in Helsinki. The series primarily centres on residents of Pihlajakatu and its neighbouring areas. Xuefeng Yicun
Xuefeng Yicun (822–908; zh, s=雪峰义存, w=Hsüeh-feng I-ts'un; zh, p=Xuěfēng Yìcún; ) was a Chinese Chan-master who was influential during the Tang dynasty. The Yunmen school and Fayan school originated with descendants of his lineage. Biography According to the ''Wudeng Huiyuan'' ("Compendium of Five Lamps") Xuefeng Yicun was born in 822 in Nanan in ancient the district Quanzhou (now the province of Fujian). At age twelve he left home to live at Yujian Temple in Putian City. During the suppression of Buddhism (841–846) by Emperor Xuanzong Xuefeng Yicun was forced to leave the monastery. He continued his apprenticeship with a master Yuanzhao (Changzhao) on top of Furong (Lotus) Mountain in Hunan. When Emperor Xuanzong allowed for the restoration of Buddhism Xuefeng started hiking in the different regions of northern China. Seppo Harjanne
Seppo Harjanne (born 20 February 1948) is a Finnish former rally co-driver. He is best known for co-driving for Timo Salonen from 1979 to 1988 and for Tommi Mäkinen from 1990 to 1997. With Salonen, Harjanne took ten World Rally Championship victories for the factory teams of Datsun, Peugeot and Mazda, and the 1985 drivers' world championship title in a Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 E2. With Mäkinen, competing mainly for the Team Mitsubishi Ralliart, he won ten more WRC events along with the 1996 and 1997 drivers' titles in a Lancer Evolution. Harjanne retired after the 1997 season and Mäkinen went on to take two more titles with Risto Mannisenmäki. Seppo Sakari Telenius (born 16 February 1954, in Porvoo, Finland) is a Finnish writer and historian who lives in Harjavalta. He studied political history, sociology, social history, aesthetics and economic history at the University of Helsinki (Master of Social Sciences 1981, Licentiate in Social Sciences 1988). His varied body of works includes novels, short stories, poems, local history books as well as essays. Seppo Simola
Seppo Antero Simola (27 July 1936 in Somero - 9 March 2003) was a Finnish shot putter, who represented Turun Riento, weighing in at 128 kg and standing 191 cm tall. He competed in the men's shot put at the 1972 Summer Olympics. He was the first Finn to put the shot more than 20 m in an official competition when he put it 20.15 metres in Turku, Finland on 19 July 1972; this was of course his personal best and a national record. Seppo Henrik Räty (born 27 April 1962) is a retired Finnish track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He was a World Champion, having won gold in 1987.
