Louny
Louny (; ) is a town in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 18,000 inhabitants. It lies on the Ohře River. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected as an Cultural monument (Czech Republic)#Monument zones, urban monument zone. Civic Democratic Alliance
The Civic Democratic Alliance (, ODA) was a conservative-liberal political party in the Czech Republic, active between 1989 (founded shortly after the Velvet revolution) and 2007. The ODA was part of government coalitions until 1997 and participated in transformation of the Czech economy. The party was supported by president Václav Havel who voted for it in 1992 and 1996 election. History The ODA was established in 1989 by a group of intellectuals as a conservative-liberal party, based on ideas often expressed in The Salisbury Review. The other motive was personal antipathy to Václav Klaus and his party Civic Democratic Party (ODS). In 1992 legislative election, ODA obtained over 300,000 votes (5,93 per cent of all votes) and gained 14 seats in Czech National Council. The Club of Committed Non-Party Members (in Czech ''Klub angažovaných nestraníků'', ''KAN'') is a small liberal conservative party in the Czech Republic co-founded by Rudolf Battěk. History The party was founded during the Prague Spring in May 1968 by 144 leading Czechoslovak intellectuals and prominent social figures. It was formed as an independent activist organisation with the purpose of advocating a reform program. Independents (political Party)
The Independents () is a political party in the Czech Republic. History The party was established on 8 September 1994 as the Association of Prague Independents, before adopting its current name in 1995. In the 1996 Chamber of Deputies and Senate elections it received 0.5% of the vote and failed to win a seat. Despite increasing its vote share to 0.9% in the Chamber of Deputies elections and 0.8% in the Senate elections of 1998, the party remained seatless. The 2000 Senate elections saw the party finish fifth, although with only 1.5% of the vote and no seats. However, in the 2002 Senate elections the party received 4% of the vote in the first round, and won two seats. They won two seats in the European Parliament in the 2004 elections, and another seat in the Senate elections later the same year. After receiving just 0.6% of the vote in the 2006 Chamber of Deputies elections, the party's vote share fell to 0.5% in the 2006 Senate elections and it failed to win a seat. ANO 2011
ANO (), registered as ANO 2011, is a right-wing populist political party in the Czech Republic, led by businessman Andrej Babiš, who served as Prime Minister of the Czech Republic from 2017 to 2021. Formed in 2011, the party finished second in the first elections it contested in 2013, entering government as a junior partner to the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD) led by Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka. After large gains in the 2017 election, these two parties switched places, with Babiš becoming prime minister in an ANO-led government with the Social Democrats as the junior partner, plus external support from the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia, a post-revolution first for the country.
