Semen Padang Football Club is an Indonesian professional association football, football club based in Indarung, Padang, West Sumatra. Founded on 30 November 1980, they currently compete in the Super League (Indonesia), Super League since 2024–25 Liga 1 (Indonesia), 2024–25 season, following promotion. It made its debut by participating in Galatama First Division in 1980. In 1982, Semen Padang succeeded in winning the First Division and at the same time was promoted to the Galatama Premier Division. Stadium Semen Padang plays its home games at the Gelora Haji Agus Salim Stadium which located in Padang, West Sumatra. Gelora Haji Agus Salim Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Padang, Indonesia, Padang, West Sumatra, Indonesia. The 2012 Piala Indonesia was the sixth edition of ''Piala Indonesia'', the nationwide football cup tournament in Indonesia, involving professional clubs from Indonesian Premier League and Premier Division. Sriwijaya FC was the tournament's defending champions. However, the team did not join Piala Indonesia that season due to being one of the Indonesia Super League teams.
