Selangor Turf Club
Selangor Turf Club is a horse-racing track and cricket ground located in Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia. It is one of four horse-racing courses in the country; the other two are in Ipoh, Perak, Penang and Kuching, Sarawak. History Selangor Turf Club was founded in 1896. For nearly a century, races were conducted at Ampang Road, which is today the site of Petronas Twin Towers, the world's tallest twin skyscrapers. In 1993, the Club relocated to its present site in Serdang while its previous Ampang Road racecourse made way for the KLCC/Petronas Towers project. Bukit Jalil Highway
The Bukit Jalil Highway, or Puchong–Sungai Besi Highway, Federal Route 217, is a major highway in Klang Valley, Malaysia. It is a toll-free and also a second highway after Shah Alam Expressway E5. It connects the Sungai Besi Expressway E9 near Selangor Turf Club in the east to Damansara–Puchong Expressway E11 near Puchong Jaya in the west. The highway passes Bandar Kinrara and Bukit Jalil. Petaling District
The Petaling District is a district located in the heart of Selangor in Malaysia. Petaling is not to be confused with the city of Petaling Jaya located in it, nor the ''mukim'' of Petaling under Subang Jaya City. The district office is located in Subang, Selangor, Subang. The district of Petaling was established on 1 February 1974, the same day Kuala Lumpur was declared a Federal Territories (Malaysia), Federal Territory. Seri Kembangan
Seri Kembangan, also known as Serdang, formerly known as Serdang New Village, is a town located in Petaling District, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located in between Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. The town is now a considerable city in size. It is located near the northern end of the North–South Expressway Southern Route, PLUS Expressway Southern Route . History Seri Kembangan was established as the Serdang New Village in 1950 when the British moved Malaysian Chinese villagers living around Sungai Besi to a centralised location due to the Communist Party of Malaya, Communist threat during the Malayan Emergency as part of the Briggs Plan.
