Seguin Bruins

	Seguin Bruins The Seguin Bruins were a Junior "A" ice hockey team from the greater Parry Sound, Ontario, Parry Sound area, created in 2005. The Bruins were based in the village of Humphrey, in Seguin Township, Ontario, Canada. They were a part of the Central Canadian Hockey League. In 2010 they accepted a buyout from their league to cease operations. History After the Parry Sound Shamrocks became defunct in 2002, the Bruins were created in 2005 to be the new Junior "A" ice hockey team in Parry Sound. The Bruins were below .500 in their first season, however they were able to make the playoffs where they lost in the conference quarter final to the eventual conference champion Stouffville Spirit. The first game ever played with this team was an exhibition game against the North Bay Sky Hawks and the first goal was scored by Jason Tsang, who played that season with the Parry Sound Midget Shamrocks under coach Rick Thomas and Tim McWhirter where he was a defenseman and made his first All-Star app ... 	Seguin Township, Ontario Seguin is a township (Canada), township in central Ontario, Canada, in the Parry Sound District, District of Parry Sound. History The Township of Seguin was created by Minister's Order, dated May 8, 1997. Pursuant to this Order, the Township of Seguin became a newly incorporated municipality, effective January 1, 1998. 	Stouffville Spirit The Stouffville Spirit are a Junior "A" ice hockey team from Whitchurch–Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. The Stouffville Spirit are members of the Ontario Junior Hockey League of the Ontario Hockey Association. History From 1970 until 1984, the Stouffville Clippers were members of the Central Junior C Hockey League and played at the old Stouffville Arena built in 1949. From 1984 until 1995, the team was on a long hiatus. The Clippers were brought back in 1995 playing at the current Stouffville Arena (built 1985), changed their name to the Spirit a season later, and have been members of the OPJHL ever since. Junior hockey has a long and storied history in Stouffville. In the first half of the 20th Century it had two ice rinks for hockey, Maple Leaf Rink (1901) and Clayton Baker Arena at what is now Memorial Park (1926).
