Dag Hartelius (born 8 November 1955 in Härnösand) is a Swedish diplomat and politician for the Moderate Party (M). Albert Ehrensvärd (1821–1901)
Johan Jakob Albert Ehrensvärd (9 May 1867 – 6 March 1940) was a Swedish diplomat. He was Sweden's envoy to Washington D.C between 1910 and 1911. He became Sweden's Foreign Minister in Liberal leader and Prime Minister Karl Staaff's Second Cabinet. As Foreign Minister of Sweden he instituted reforms in the Swedish Foreign Service and worked to ease tensed relations with Czarist Russia. Erik Trolle (or Erik Arvidsson) (c. 1460–1530) was elected regent of Sweden in 1512, during the era of Kalmar Union. He was Justiciar of Närke and a Lord High Councillor of Sweden from 1487. Biography Erik Arvidsson was born around 1460 into an important family of high nobility and was apparently aiming at a clerical career. Erik's parents were lord Arvid Birgersson Trolle (died 1505) and his first wife Kerstin Jonsdotter (Gädda). His father had connected him to the powerful Thott family by marrying Beate Iversdatter Thott (died 1487) as his second wife in 1466. Arvid Taube
Arvid Fredrik Taube (19 January 1853 – 14 October 1916) was a Swedish aristocrat who served as the foreign minister between 1909 and 1911 and also, held various diplomatic posts. Biography Taube was born on 19 January 1853. He served as the head of the political department of the foreign ministry from 1892 to 1895. His next post was the secretary to the cabinet between 1895 and 1900. He was the foreign minister for two years in the period of 1909–1911 in the cabinet of Prime Minister Arvid Lindman. August Gyldenstolpe (22 June 1849 – 30 June 1928) is a Swedish politician and diplomat who from 22 December 1904 until 2 August 1905 served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden. Carl Bildt (1850–1931)
Baron Carl Nils Daniel Bildt (15 March 1850 – 26 January 1931) was a Swedish diplomat and historian. He spent most of his Foreign Office career as Swedish envoy in Rome and published extensively on Swedish historical topics relating to Rome and Italy. Early life A son of Gillis Bildt, he inherited the baronial title on his father's death in 1894. Career After a law degree from Uppsala and holding various lower-ranking diplomatic posts in London, Paris, Washington D.C., Berlin and Vienna, and as state secretary for foreign affairs, he was appointed Swedish envoy to Rome in 1889. He remained there until 1902 when he was transferred to the same position in London, but returned as envoy to Rome in 1905 and remained there as envoy until his retirement in 1920.
