Sebastián Solé
Sebastián Solé (born 12 June 1991) is an Argentine–Italian volleyball player, a former member of the Argentina national team and a bronze medallist at the Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020). At the professional club level, he plays for Sir Safety Perugia. Junior career Solé's international career began in 2007 as one of the new players called up for the Argentine Youth Team. In 2008, he was the only player on both of Argentina's South American Championship winning teams, representing Argentina in the youth and junior teams. Career In 2010, Solé made his senior debut for Argentina at the FIVB World League. He participated seven times in that competition and won several awards and medals. He was also part of the team at the 2010 FIVB World Championship in Italy and at the Olympic Games in London in 2012. Argentina Men's National Volleyball Team
The Argentina national volleyball team represents Argentina in international men's volleyball and is controlled by the Argentine Volleyball Federation (''Federación del Voleibol Argentino'' in Spanish, and abbreviated "FeVA"). The Argentina team made their international debut at the South American Championship in Rio de Janeiro in 1951, claiming fourth place. They competed in their first World Championship 1960 in the same city, where they finished 11th. Men's South American Volleyball Club Championship
The South American Men's Volleyball Club Championship is an international men's club volleyball competition organized by the '' Confederación Sudamericana de Voleibol'' (CSV), the sport's governing body in South America. The competition was first contested in 2009 in Florianópolis, Brazil and tournaments have been held every year since then. 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship
The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship was the 17th edition of the competition. It was held in Betim, Brazil. It was the seventh time as well as the third consecutive times Betim was selected as the host city. The tournament was held from 7 to 11 December 2022. It was Volei Renata's first appearance at the Club World Championship. Sir Safety Susa Perugia won their title for the first time on their first participation of the tournament. Simone Giannelli was chosen as MVP of this tournament. Host selection On 10 June 2022 Brazilian media reported that this edition of the men's club world championship would be hosted in Minas Gerais, Brazil. FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship is an international men's club volleyball competition organised by the '' Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The competition was first contested in 1989 in Italy. It was not held between 1993 and 2008, but since 2009, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar and Brazil except in 2017 and 2018 where both hosted by Poland. The 2015–16 CEV Champions League was the 57th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Participating teams Format League round 28 teams have been drawn to 7 pools of 4 teams each. In each pool, the competition is organised on the basis of a double round-robin system. Each team will thus play 6 matches: twice against each opponent. In the League Round, the placing of the teams is determined by the number of matches won. The CEV Champions League is the top official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition is organised every year by the European Volleyball Confederation. Formula (2018–19 to present) Qualification A total of 20 teams participate in the main competition, with 18 teams being allocated direct vacancies on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions, and 2 teams from the qualification rounds. League round 20 teams take part in the League round where they are split in to 5 groups. 2010 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship
The 2010 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship was held in Italy from 25 September to 10 October 2010. The tournament featured 24 teams to determine the world champions in men's volleyball. In addition to 2006 champion Brazil and host nation Italy, 22 teams qualified for the tournament by means of continental and regional competitions. The matches took place in ten venues across ten Italian cities, with the final being held at the PalaLottomatica, Rome. The tournament was won by Brazil, who beat Cuba in final. Brazil won their third straight world championship having won previously in 2002 and 2006. The podium was completed by Serbia who defeated Italy in the 3rd place match.
