Sebastian Faust
Sebastian Faust, commonly known as Faust, is a fictional character in DC Comics. Created by Mike Barr and Paul Pelletier, he first appeared in the 1993 ''Outsiders'' comic series. The character draws inspiration from the German legend of a man who sold his soul to the Devil. Faust is the son of the supervillain Felix Faust and is depicted as both a superhero and an anti-villain. In his backstory, Sebastian's soul was sold in a Faustian bargain by his father to regain his own mystical abilities. However, the demon Neibiros tricked Felix by granting the powers to Sebastian instead. Sebastian received training in the mystic arts from his father but eventually ran away due to his father's abusive behavior. As an adult, he became a mystic superhero and paranormal investigator. ''Brightest Day'' is a 2010–2011 Crossover (comics), crossover storyline published by DC Comics, consisting of a year-long comic book Limited series (comics), maxiseries that began in April 2010, and a number of tie-in books. The story is a direct follow-up to the ''Blackest Night'' storyline that depicts the aftermath of the events of that storyline on the DC Universe. Plot At the end of the 2009–2010 ''Blackest Night'' storyline, 12 deceased heroes and villains are resurrected for an unknown purpose. The events of ''Brightest Day'' follow their exploits as they seek to learn the secret behind their resurrection. Technocrat (Geoffrey Barron) is a superhero in the DC Comics and a former member of the Outsiders. His first appearance was in ''Outsiders Alpha'' (vol. 2) #1 (November 1993), written by Mike W. Barr and drawn by Paul Pelletier. Baron, nicknamed "TC", appears in the Arrowverse series ''Black Lightning'', portrayed by Christopher Ammanuel''.'' Fictional character biography An inventor and business magnate, Geoffrey Barron comes to Markovia to sell his battle armor, the Technocrat 2000. Barron is accompanied by his bodyguard Charlie Wylde. During their stay in Markovia, the Outsiders are framed for the murder of Queen Ilona. Barron and Wylde flee into the woods, where they encounter Sebastian Faust and a bear. Swamp Thing is a superhero and antihero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Len Wein and artist Bernie Wrightson, the Swamp Thing has had several different incarnations throughout his publication. Looker (Emily "Lia" Briggs) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character's first appearance was in 1985 in ''Batman & the Outsiders'' #25. Looker appears in the Arrowverse series ''Black Lightning (season 2), Black Lightning'', portrayed by Sofia Vassilieva. Creation Barr spoke in an open letter to fans on the creation of the character stating, "When it was decided to put The Outsiders into their own book, a new member was obviously called for.
