Seaton will be a community in north Pickering, Ontario, Pickering in Ontario, Canada. Seaton is bounded by West Duffins Creek to the west, Sideline 16 to the east, Highway 7 to the north, and the CP Rail line to the south; it abuts the communities of Green River, Ontario, Green River, Whitevale, Ontario, Whitevale, and Brougham, Ontario, Brougham. It has been devised by the provincial government since the 1970s. By the time of full build-out, the community is expected to include a population of up to 70,000 people and 35,000 jobs. Duffins Creek
Duffins Creek is a waterway in the eastern end of the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada. The watershed of the Duffins Creek is part of the Durham Region (Uxbridge, Pickering and Ajax) and the York Region ( Markham and Whitchurch-Stouffville). Etymology and names Augustus Jones, who surveyed the area for the Government of Upper Canada in 1791, states that the native ( Mississauga Anishinaabek) name for the stream was ''Sin-qua-trik-de-que-onk'', meaning "pine wood on side". The Ojibwe Mississauga name of the creek in modern orthography is ''Zhingwaatigotigweyaa-ziibi''. The French missionaries from Ganatsekwyagon, who reached the stream in 1670, called it ''Riviere au Saumon'', meaning the "Salmon River", because of a large number of salmon fish that spawned there. Cornell, Ontario
Cornell is a neighbourhood in northeast Markham, Ontario and bounded by Highway 407, 16th Avenue, Ninth Line, and the Donald Cousens Parkway. The 2011 population of this area was 9,880. Pickering Airport
The Pickering Airport Lands are parcels of lands owned by the Government of Canada located in York Region and Durham Region in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario. The lands, totaling approximately and located approximately east of Downtown Toronto, were expropriated in 1972 by the federal government for use as the site of a second international airport to serve the city of Toronto, its metropolitan area, and the surrounding Golden Horseshoe region. There was local opposition to an airport from the day of the original announcement. Plans for an airport were developed during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Brougham, Ontario
Brougham ( ) is a community within the northern part of the City of Pickering, in Durham Region of Ontario, Canada. Some of its lands are affected by plans to build the proposed Pickering Airport. There are concerns because some of its buildings are of architectural significance. There is one bus in the area; the 52 York University passes through with a stop at Brock Road. The population is about 150. The children go to school at Valley View Public School in its neighbouring town of Greenwood. It has slowly reduced in population and business as the 407 wound its way through in the early 2000s. Whitevale, formerly Majorville, is a community located within the City of Pickering in Durham Region, Ontario, Canada. The city refers to the community as the "Hamlet of Whitevale".
