Scott Cooke McCreery (born October 9, 1993) is an American country singer. He rose to fame after winning the tenth season of ''American Idol'' in May 2011. His debut studio album, '' Clear as Day'', was released in October 2011 and was certified platinum in the United States. The album includes the top 20 country songs, " I Love You This Big" and " The Trouble with Girls". McCreery released a Christmas album, '' Christmas with Scotty McCreery'', in October 2012 and it has been certified gold. He released his third album, '' See You Tonight'', in October 2013. Its title track became his first single to reach the top ten on ''Billboard's ''Country charts. Content Written by McCreery along with Ashley Gorley and Zach Crowell, the song is about a male who goes to visit his girlfriend because he has to "see ertonight," as substitutes like phone calls and pictures are not enough. Critical reception Giving it 3.5 stars out of 5, Billy Dukes of Taste of Country said that McCreery "has never sounded more comfortable". Clayton is a town in Johnston County, North Carolina, United States, and is considered a satellite town of Raleigh. As of 2020, Clayton's population was 26,307, up from 16,116 at the 2010 census.
