The Scottish National League was an ice hockey league in Scotland that existed only for the 1981–82 season. It was the first national league contested in Scotland since the old Scottish National League was held in 1954. The five Scottish teams from the Northern League participated in the league. Scottish National League (1932–1954)
The Scottish National League was the first ice hockey league in Scotland. It was founded in 1932 by five teams from a single ice rink in Glasgow. The league gradually expanded to encompass teams from many areas of Scotland. It was suspended during the Second World War, but returned in 1946, and for the 1947/8 season was split into two divisions. These reunited the following season, and in 1954 the league merged with the English National League to form the British National League. Northern League (ice Hockey, 1966–1982)
The Northern League was the top-flight ice hockey league in Scotland and initially northern England, from 1966. In 1982 it merged with the Inter-City League and the English League North to form the British Hockey League. The League developed out of the far more limited Scottish League, established in 1962. Dundee Rockets
The Dundee Rockets are an ice hockey club based in Dundee Dundee (; ; or , ) is the List of towns and cities in Scotland by population, fourth-largest city in Scotland. Murrayfield Racers

The team won the British Championship four times in four consecutive seasons from 1969 until 1972. The club was also the 1986–87 and 1987–88 British Ice Hockey League Champions and played in the BHL Premier Division from 1982 to 1995. The Racers won the Northern League on seven occasions – in 1970, 1971, 1972, 1975, 1979, 1980 and 1980 and the Benson & Hedges Cup in 1993. Fife Flyers
The Fife Flyers are a Ice hockey in Scotland, Scottish professional ice hockey team in Kirkcaldy, Fife. Established in 1938, the Flyers are the oldest still-extant club in the country. The Flyers play their home games at Fife Ice Arena, which has a capacity of just over 3,000 (seated and standing). They joined the EIHL in 2011. They are coach by the Canadian Jamie Russell.
