Scott Tucker (conductor)
Scott Arthur Tucker (September 17, 1957 – present) is an American conductor. He is most widely known as the artistic director of The Choral Arts Society of Washington from 2012 to 2022, and as the director of choral music at Cornell University from 1995 to 2012. Biography Early years Tucker was born on September 17, 1957, in Massachusetts. He started playing the trumpet at the age of nine, His maternal grandfather was an amateur musician and his sister became a professional musician. He received a B.S. degree in psychology from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Music degree in trumpet performance from the New England Conservatory of Music through a five-year, double degree program. He then spent some years as a freelance musician in the Boston area.

Conducting
Conducting is the art of directing a musical performance, such as an orchestral or Choir, choral concert.
