Scott Breckinridge
Scott Dudley Breckinridge (May 23, 1882 – August 1, 1941) was an American fencer and gynecologist. He competed in the individual foil and team épée events at the 1912 Summer Olympics. Early life Breckinridge was born in San Francisco, California on May 23, 1882. He was the son of Louise Ludlow (née Dudley) and Joseph Cabell Breckinridge Sr.Brown, Alexander The Cabells and Their Kin: A Memorial Volume of History, Biography, and Genealogy' (1895). Among his many siblings was older brother was Joseph Cabell Breckinridge Jr., an officer in the United States Navy in the Spanish–American War who died while serving on the torpedo boat USS ''Cushing''. Ethelbert Ludlow Dudley
Ethelbert Ludlow Dudley (1818 – February 20, 1862) was a prominent Kentucky physician and a member of the faculty of Transylvania Medical School. Early life Dudley, the son of Ambrose Dudley, was born near Lexington, Kentucky. He was educated at Harvard University and Transylvania Medical School. Medical career Dudley studied under his famous uncle, Benjamin Dudley, at Transylvania Medical School; graduating in 1842 and joining the faculty. While at Transylvania, he held several positions including chair of the department of General and Pathological Anatomy. Dudley originated and was editor of the ''Transylvania Medical Journal''. Additionally, Dudley was on faculty at the newly formed Kentucky School of Medical and the United States Marine Hospital of Louisville. Robert Jefferson Breckinridge
Robert Jefferson Breckinridge (March 8, 1800 – December 27, 1871) was a politician and Presbyterian minister. He was a member of the Breckinridge family of Kentucky, the son of Senator John Breckinridge. A restless youth, Breckinridge was suspended from Princeton University for fighting, and following his graduation from Union College in 1819, was prone to engage in a lifestyle of partying and revelry. But, he was admitted to the bar in 1824 and elected to the Kentucky General Assembly in 1825. A serious illness and the death of a child in 1829 prompted him to turn to religion, and he became an ordained minister in 1832.
