Georg Schnéevoigt
Georg Lennart Schnéevoigt (8 November 1872 – 28 November 1947) was a Finnish Conducting, conductor and cellist, born in Vyborg, Grand Duchy of Finland, which is now in Russia, to Ernst Schnéevoigt and Rosa Willandt. Career Schnéevoigt began his career as a cellist performing throughout Europe in the 1890s. He was principal cellist of the Helsinki Philharmonic from 1896 to 1902. After this, he conducted many orchestras including the Kaim Orchestra (now the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra), Riga Philharmonic Orchestra which he founded, Oslo Philharmonic (1919–1921), the Stockholm Concert Society (later the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra), the Sydney Symphony, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. From 1930 until his death in 1947, Schnéevoigt was chief conductor of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra. George Schnéevoigt
George Schnéevoigt (born Fritz Ernst Georg Fischer; 23 December 1893 – 6 February 1961) was a Denmark, Danish film director, cinematographer, and actor of the 1910s to early 1940s. Schnéevoigt was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 23 December 1893 to the Finland, Finnish-born photographer and actress Siri Schnéevoigt, and Hermann Friedrich Fischer. He was the father of photographer Alf Schnéevoigt. Early life When Schnéevoigt was 14 years old he traveled with his mother to Berlin as a result of his parents divorce, there he took his mothers last name. Already in his school years Schnéevoigt had developed an interest in acting. He trained as a photographer and studied with actress Tilla Durieux and actor Ludwig Hartau, Ludvig Hartau. Ernst Schnéevoigt
Ernst Bernhard Schnéevoigt (1835 - 1905) was a German-born conductor who moved to Finland. He was the father to Adèle Ernestine Trebbe, Elsa Emilia Schnéevoigt, Siri Schnéevoigt, Georg Schnéevoigt and Anna Gerda Schnéevoigt Schnéevoigt grew up in and obtained his music education in Germany. He traveled to Helsinki in 1860 to play in the Filip von Schantz Orchestra, after that he moved to Stockholm for a year with the orchestra. Schnéevoigt returned to Finland to live in Vyborg, where he conducted orchestral activities from 1869 to 1878. Schnéevoigt was married to Rosa Willandt, with whom he had five children with. Alf Schnéevoigt
Alf Schnéevoigt (25 December 1915 – 22 April 1982) was a Denmark, Danish photographer born to George Schnéevoigt and Henriette Mathilde Frederiksen. At the beginning of World War II Schnéevoigt worked as a film photographer at ASA Filmudlejning, ASA. He was subsequently with Free Corps Denmark, Frikorps Danmark on the eastern front and photographed for Die Deutsche Wochenschau. Schnéevoigt was arrested on 6 May 1945 at his residence for the murders of Jørgen Buntzen and Hipoen Herskov. On November 14, 1946, he was found guilty and sentenced to death.
